I picked "We did it before, but not next year!' Mostly cuz we are SPH now, so we don't get the opportunity to do it. I did use it on our trip in July, and I thought it was great . . . sorry to hear they changed it so much!!

I will definitely do the DDP basic plan for our next trip, even with the changes. I love a prepaid plan.

With the removal of the tip and the appetizer,it doesn't seem worth it for my family. We could share some TS meals by stretching those appetizers and I loved that the tip was included. Now, I'm not so sure it would be economically worth it to us.

Re: Will you get the dining plan in 2008 at WDW?
We have never done it because we hardly every go over $100 for the both of us to eat and we eat great. We split most of the meals there. We are not big eaters. We have a great breakfast then a light lunch then a nice dinner. Since the wine is not included into the dining package it has been cheaper for us not to use it. I know of people that have used it and they have stop using it because they never spent that much if they didn't have it.

I did it before but won't do it again. Like many others have stated...it is not worth it as we are very basic and simple eaters and wouldn't get our 40 dollars worth each and STILL have to pay extra for a tip. My son just turned 10 so adult prices for him and there is no way he can eat adult portions.

Re: Will you get the dining plan in 2008 at WDW?
We used it last year during free dining and this past May when we went, but we probably won't use it again unless free dining is offered again. It just doesn't seem like it's going to be a good deal next year. If the price would have dropped a little bit more, we probably would have considered it.

Re: Will you get the dining plan in 2008 at WDW?
doing it in November. Not after that. We're not big eaters. This year's plan looks to be about break-even for us. We can save over the cost of next year's plan by combining meals at TS, skipping CS, using Garden Grocer for light breakfast and snacks, etc.
(of course, who knows what plan will be in effect next time we go!.... That's 9 long years.) ![]()

Re: Will you get the dining plan in 2008 at WDW?
We did it last year and have just booked it again for Jan. We're disappointed in the removal of gratuity from the plan, but we still feel like the basic plan works well for our family. (We may change our mind on the next trip when our oldest DS will be considered an adult.) We love having everything paid for ahead of time, and being on the plan encourages us to try other (& possibly more expensive) restaurants than we would if we weren't on the plan.

Re: Will you get the dining plan in 2008 at WDW?
I think we will still use it. Even w/o the appetizer, I think $37.99 is a good deal. Next year our children will be 8 and 3, so the $9.99 kids price is a great deal for them!We normally tipped anyhow so that part really does not change for us.
