Re: When you retire, which WDW job would you rather have?

I picked tour guide... I love reading about all the little-known Disney secrets and I tell my friends (who don't really care) about them all the time. It's almost too good to be true that I could make money by telling people who actually want to listen all kinds of Disney secrets while showing them around my second home!

Re: When you retire, which WDW job would you rather have?

I guess that I am in the minority here. I chose who wants to work when they retire. I would rather be a guest visiting WDW and travelling than working everyday. I must admit that the idea to work for Disney is great, and I would love the opportunity, but I would rather do it before I retire so that I can still spend my retirement travelling.

Rafikiman & I are talking about retiring in about 10 years, when he's 55 & I'll be 2 yrs older. But that's kind of young to just travel & stuff. So we're thinking of working somewhere we WANT to work. He'd like to teach somewhere, & I'm thinking I might like to work the phones at WDW. Isn't it great to call & make a reservation or a PS & find someone who gets it & enjoys helping you plan your vacation? That's what I think would be fun.

My job would be to work at the resort front desk, but only at the Polynesian. I just love that resort.

Re: When you retire, which WDW job would you rather have?

I was thinking of something in entertainment...I am a performer....but realized not only would I be too old when I retired, but it wasn't even one of the choices!

Anyway, all good entertainers end up as character actors when they get old. What more fun job could I get than picking on hungry, weary, unsuspecting tourists in the 50's PTC?

I met him last year! (when he picked us)

He says it's a terrific job. I guess it's him and a couple of other people.

I'm sure Kim can comment about this, but one of the things we learned about being "backstage" is that most CMs have a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. I felt COMPLETELY at home.

I voted other. I would like to drive a Disney bus. You don't have to worry about collecting fares and just about everybody is happy or too exhausted to give you a hard time. LOL

I would love to work at a resort front desk.Possibly the Wilderness Lodge or the Grand Floridian. The people at the front desk on all our stays at WDW have been very helpful and I like helping people.
