Aggie_10 is 2 for 2 on the Task, congratulations on another great solution to a Task. But Towncar_T with a last minute vote gave us our first tie. MerlinMatt congratulations as well, both get 4 points for the win. All of the solution were great and thanks for taking the time to take on such a tough Task and it was a tough one.

Now on to Task 3 and the Magic Kingdom...

Disney Central Apprentice Task 3:

Onto the Magic Kingdom! The Tomorrowland Indy Speedway(TIS) never really fit into Tomorrowland(TL) and it really doesn't fit into Mickey's Toontown Fair(MTF) or Fantasyland(FL). TIS also take up a large piece of land. You can either come up with a new attraction to cover the space as is or shift the land use from TL towards MTF or FL (or split the use between two or three of the lands). What we are looking for is better use of the this piece of land that helps create a better transition between the three lands.

SeattleRedBear, the rules are pretty loose here so if you want to update you can but make sure that you make it obvious that you updated it and what you update.

Here goes:) I would leave tommorrowland as it is, I see no problems there. However, I do see a problem with the entrance to ToonTown Fair - it is kind of hidden so I would take some of the land to make the entrance to ToonTown Fair more visible. The remaining land, I would keep as part of Fantasyland.

I would do away with the speedway to replace it with a similar but different ride, it would be a ride where kids could drive vehicles but it would be built around an Alice in Wonderland theme. I see many of the rides in Fantasyland as sort of "classic disney", which is why I chose Alice in Wonderland. I also think it would fit in well there with its location right next to the teacups.

Anyway, the way the ride would be structured kind of reminds me of a putt putt golf course, actually. On more intricate putt putt golf courses, there might be caves and waterfalls, that sort of thing. I would incorporate very intricate scenery into the ride. There would be scenes from Alice in Wonderland: the riverbank where Alice is reading before the rabbit passes by, when Alice goes down the rabbit hole, when she is lost in the woods, when she has grown into a giant and her arms and legs are protruding out of the house, when she has found the lovely garden and is playing chrochet with the Queen of Harts. Characters that one would pass include: the rabbit, the blue caterpillar, duchess, cheschire cat, Mad Hatter, playing cards, King & Queen of Harts, etc.

A Driver & Passenger would enter a vehicle shaped like something from the story, maybe a mushroom which Alice would eat to make her bigger and smaller. Kids could drive the vehicle which would take them around the scenes I described above while music played in the background from the stories that matched the scenes. For instance, when you boarded the ride, I'm late, I'm late for a very important date... would be playing. The ride would be multi-level, and take drivers and passengers inside and outside. O.K., that's kind of all I have. Pretty calm ride for little ones. We'll see how this one goes. Can't wait to read everyone's responses:)
