disney Central Apprentice Task 5

I'm posting this a little early due to a little Tigger business. I will post the scores later.

Task 5 brings us to our halfway point. Remember at the end of the task 9 the scores will be tallied and the top three point getters will compete on the final task (and there will be a twist).

Now on to Task 5...Return of the Villians

Disney Central Apprentice Task 5:

Quote:

As many of you know there use to be a Villains character meal. Well here is your chance to return it.

You are task to place it in the park or resort that you think would be best fit your theme for the restaurant. You can, if you like, create a new restaurant to house it (and Towncar we do expect more recipes ) or use an existing venue.

This needs to be more then just a normal character meal interactions so come up with a theme and entertainment to go along with meal.

Oh and nothing to dark and scary for the little ones this is Disney after all.
Post your solutions below. This task will be locked on Tuesday at 6pm EST. Voting will then begin and beheld until Thursday at 6pm EST and the next task listed.

If you have any comments of questions please post them here at the DC Apprentice Discussions referencing the task number and/or poster.

Good Luck!

(If you have not already familiarized yourself with how DCA is played please see this link (http://www.disneycentral.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=11924). Share your best and most creative ideas. And most of all remember to have fun!)

Score:

Re: disney Central Apprentice Task 5

Ok.. let me start by saying this is my first time playing DCA, so I might have some really lame ideas compared to the rest of you... but anyways, here I go...

I’d put the Villains character meal in the MK, right where 20,000 Leagues used to be. They could build a little platform in the middle of the water, like a floating island, and it of course would be decorated in classic Disney detail – sharp rocks sticking out of the water and around the island... a big dark castle, maybe Malificent’s or something similar...and of course some fog over the water and the island. They could build a bridge from Fantasyland where the old line for 20,000 Leagues used to be across to the island, and the bridge too would of course be creepy and villain-y. The whole island would seem dark and dingy and would contrast sharply with the bright colors in Fantasyland – it would just scream “villains”.

The meal would take place in the castle. I’m picturing some hosts/hostesses and waiters/waitresses with the Haunted Mansion-type personalities – they wouldn’t smile (unless it was an evil grin, of course) and they’d be just generally creepy. While everyone’s eating their food, the villains would come around to the tables like the other character meals. But against one wall of the restaurant would be a big stage. Maybe every 20 mins or half an hour, they’d have a show on the stage involving groups of the villains from different movies put together. Like Captain Hook, Malificent, Hades, and Ursula or something like that – combinations that wouldn’t normally go together but would make some great scenes. They’d mix the groups around for each show so you wouldn’t keep seeing the exact same show if you were eating through more than one of them. But for each show the villains would plot something evil and villainish – it would be a funny show, not too scary for younger kids. To finish the show, one of the hosts/hostesses/waiters/waitresses/whatever could pick a few kids (or parents!) out of everyone eating and send them up to the stage to foil the evil plot.

As far as food, they’d have normal Disney-type food you’d get at any other character meal, but maybe they could have villain specials too. Like some kind of glowing green drink... or a meal that comes out to the table in flames like they do in some fancy restaurants, just to make it look scary.

There... that’s my idea! It was a lot more fun to come up with all that then I thought it would be.

Re: disney Central Apprentice Task 5

OK.. I had a sudden idea, and just had to post it now.

Basically my idea is to create a new dinner show. This show would be similar to the Fantasmic shows, as well as a show that I saw at the MK. The show basically had Villans taking over the castle, and the good guys fighting them off. This show would have a circular stage in the very center of the resturaunt, similar to the Lion King show at AK. The show itself would book very far in advance, you would treat it like Spirit of Aloha, Mickey's Backyard BBQ, and Hoop-De-Doo Revue. The show would mainly consist of the "arch rivals", (ie. Cruella DeVil v. The 101 Dalmations). Most of the characters would be from more current movies, but it would of course have to include characters like Mickey and his gang. The show itself would be located at DTD, so that people that were there on their first day could take benefit of the show, without having to purchase a park ticket. The building itself would have a large fountain with lights outside, similar to the way Fantasmic works. This would attract lots of attention to the show, and hopefully more people to DTD.

Great job so far guys!

Congratulation to dznygrl! Wins one on her first try. I've updated the scores and added them to the top of the thread (at the bottom of the task description).

Re: disney Central Apprentice Task 5

Ok, this is only if this is allowed to be built in the MK park. This isnt a very good idea at all but I just wanted to post it for fun. Ok there would be a whole new Resturaunt built in Mickeys Toontown Fair (to go along with the villian toon theme) and it would be based around alot of the Disney Villians and there would be all different sorts of foods and that sort in a buffet style and there would be different themed eating rooms. All with a different look/theme per dining room and all the different villian characters would be in all the different dinning rooms and all would have a good time. Its not very good but thats mine.

Re: disney Central Apprentice Task 5

Wow, that was such a great idea. I am really afraid to enter the apprentice competition now. You know what, and I am not fooling around with you here, but I think you should be an imagineer...I mean that. I should be the one who cleans up on Main Street or who just passes out maps...inside joke for those who are confused at this point. Jill, I would love to eat at a place like that...especially when my best friend dreamed it all up. Its location at the 20,000 leagues "graveyard" is perfect. Way to go cowgirl, Huck is jealous of your genius and proud of your creativity!!!
