I am going out on a limb and starting a new game that will encourage everyone to wear their blue ribbons and introduce themselves to other DCers.

I personally will offer the prize for this contest. I will try to do it monthly and will base the prize on the number of contestants. I promise to make it worth your time! (For example, a coffee mug, a collectible, Disney Dollars) The rules are as follows:

DCers should present pictures of themselves with as many fellow DCers as possible in order to win. :)

Each person in the picture must be wearing a blue ribbon or official DisneyCentral merchandise (hat, shirt, whatever).

Each person must be identified by their DC name.

Each identified DCer must be a listed member when the picture is taken. (No recruiting new members to win - maybe that is another new game someone else wants to start?)

All pictures must be submitted online no later than the 7th of the following month to be accepted. (Going in May? Your pictures must be submitted by June 7th.)

Each person identified in the picture will receive 1 point. BONUS OPP: Receive an additional point if the photo includes a Disney Character!

Only 1 picture per opportunity may be submitted. For example, I meet Mickey. We both have a camera and have a picture taken together. We may together only submit one photo.

In the event of a tie, I will hold a random drawing from those who qualify.

Is this a bad idea? Somebody say something! I thought it might be a cool way to encourage everyone to wear their ribbons and say "hello" to those wearing them. I'm feeling a little sheepish now....:whistle:

Heck, don't feel sheepish, I'm just a little overwhelmed by the sheer volumne of the task before us. It would be a ton easier at planned meets than at the parks at large.

Plus, people going in May are probably scheming on how to make this happen. :D

This sounds cool, but it is a daunting challenge. With all the thousands of people inside the parks, it would be hard to run into someone from DC....I guess it would have to be a planned event.

I know of a few folks that wil be down there at the same time, perhaps we could get together for a group photo.

I think the challenge of this game IS the fact that there are thousands of people. I don't expect to have hundreds of submissions - I think we will be lucky if we have one or two submissions between a couple of people. (It wouldn't be a challenge if it was easy ;) )

If people want to try to set up a meet with folks that are there at the same time, I think that is fine as well. :) :)

Let's see how it goes with the May group!

Does anyone have any feelings about how family member pictures should be treated? Should we give credit for two members of the same family that are both DCers? Do we give full credit? half credit? I want to make this as fair as possible to everyone but I don't want to disclude anyone from participating either... Let's face it...it will be fun to see the pictures...:D

OK August people! Whoever is going to be there between 8/22 and 8/28 start posting now so we can set up a meet for a photo op!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

If we cann all settle on a day, maybe an e-entry day at one of the parks, that would probably be the easiest way! I'll be easy to spot, I'll be the adult walking around with a goofy kid like dreamy smile on my face!:D

I love the Idea DisneyAnne! And its so generous of you to offer the prize! All those going to the MK next weekend be on the look out for me and my mom, wearing blue ribbons of course! Anyone going to be there? Oh I have a question DisneyAnne, I dont have a scanner, would it be ok if the person I find and take a picture with submit it for the both of us? I would love to match a face to the name as well! Great Game!

That will be just fine. Everyone in the picture will receive credit for the photo. So, if you convince enough folks to submit...you will win! Good luck! I will be there May 16-19 so be on the lookout for me!
