DCA Bounce Task!

Task 2 is coming tonight, but in the mean time I thought up a mini bounce task for today!

DCA Bounce Task:

There are a number of classic ride that you have to ride when you go to DL or WDW but some have been retired. Which retired classic ride would you bring back and what would you do to re-introduce the magic?

This task closes tonight when Task 2 is posted.

Re: DCA Bounce Task!

I am trying think, there are so many to choose from. Mr. Toad, the Skyway, some in EPCOT, If you had wings, the original tikis, carousel of progress that only runs seasonally (which is sad so sad.) So many rides so little time.

Re: DCA Bounce Task!

I would most certainly bring back Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. This time I'd make it longer, a little "wilder" and a lot more elaborate! I feel the absence of this ride every time I am in Fantasyland.

How about adding a gift shop specializing in classic videos like The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad, models of the cars in Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, etc.?

And FASTPASS!

Then it would be complete.

Re: DCA Bounce Task!

What about taking the carousel of progress and expanding it. The way it is now, the jump is too big. It goes from the 50s to 2000s after you see the first set of scenes that only jump one to two decades. Refurbish the existing scenes, and expand the building out and two more scenes that add the 70s and 90s. I think this would make CoP more period relevant and cross that huge morass that now exists between the 4th and last scenes. Yes , it would require redisigning the building, but I think it would help greatly. I would also like there to be a way to look into changing it so that more scenes could be incorporated or altered later, so that it would not become so obsolete quickly and require refurbishment so quickly.

Re: DCA Bounce Task!

Those were great. I'm going to post task 2 a little early (have to go pick up the wife tonight a earlier then I thought).

Anyway my pick would be to bring back Horizons at EPCOT. I would update the content of course...

Re: DCA Bounce Task!

Lawwin, that is a great idea. I agree that the gap in the CoP is too big right now...it would be nice to see the decades in between represented.

I am such an idiot. I did go there. It was where figment and journey into imagination was originally.
