DS just began collecting pins on our last trip to WDW. I was thinking about having the Easter Bunny put some new pins in his basket, and I'm wondering how the pins on Disneyshopping.com compare to the ones you can buy at Disney. Can someone help me with this? Thanks!!

I just purchased some at the Disney store. I will be in WDW on MArch 1st for a quick bday trip. I will let ya know if they are tradeable and what happened.. I will be going to the character warehouse to hopefully buy some for the EB to give my kids too for out Sept trip.

Pins bought at the Disney Store should be fine to trade. Look at the back of the pin, it should have a Mickey head logo on the back that reads Official Pin Trading and a year.

I was told ANY PIN THAT SAY DISNEY on the back is tradeable!?

Call your Disney store . . . ours has a once a month pin trading event, and you can buy mystery bags of pins 5 for $10 (one per person) they are mostly duplicates, but PERFECT for trading in the park!

ebay is a great place to buy multiple pins that are great for trading, make sure they are DISNEY pins and don't pay more then $2/pin . .. then you'll have a fun time trading and making the set your own collection!

They sure are tradable, and the prices right now are so low!!! Especially on the pin sets at disneyshopping, you will get some nice stuff for not too much money! A great way to start a collection!

The lady at the Disney store said that they are tradeable but mine have a mickey back with a mickey head that says disney store and have a date.. I got a zillion pins when they were on sale last month.. They are all ratoulie so I hope i have no prob trading those with the CM.. I will be taking a few in a few weeks when Im down there so I will let ya all know if I have any problems..

The pins on disneyshopping are of excellent quality in my opinion. I buy them when they have the pin sales and we use them for trading at the parks. Right now they are having the pin special 70% off individual pins...free shipping too...you should grab anything you can get $4.99 and under...totally worth it for traders.

I found a Zorro pin. I thought perhaps they had left him behind. I used to love watching those old b&w episodes. Wish they would bring them back on DC or release them on DVD.

I grabbed six pins the other day when this broke and got the 70% off plus free shipping. I ordered 4 more yesterday and got the 70% off price plus an additional 25% off for president's day...free shipping code still worked on the pins...I also ordered two tanks and capris for the 25% off and got the entire order shipped for $5....can't be that with a stick. So to spell that out, I got 4 pins, two tanks and a pair of capris for $62...that's with tax and shipping. I love getting a great deal....both tanks and the capris are for my trip of course..lol

I just placed my order as well- I did the 25% and the 5 dollar ship-I bought 5 pin set with the barbershop (each of the kids get one and each of the kids have a character they like in it) , 4 lanyards that say year of a million dreams for about $7 each and they come with two starter pins each. I also bought two bathing suits for the boys but they were not on sale for 25% because of the fact that they are from the outlet. But for $3.99 and $4.99 its all good!

As for if you can trade them- the cast members will always trade with the kids- its more tricky when you want to trade with other people. If its not a pin they want then its not going to trade. Same goes for the cheap ones- I dont remember what they are called. They are found in those ebay batches a LOT so be carefull.

Thanks everyone . . . all good to know! I need to go ahead and place my order for some new pins. As far as the kids trading, I think I'll only let them trade with CMs.
