So... are we all going to join Iris' incredible diet plan? I could stand to lose 22 pounds in 21 days. I am getting desperate and hating mirrors and I think the high school kids probably make fat faces behind my back, so I am definitely ready for some success!

And also, can you eat a lot of food sometimes, if you are in the mood?

Thanks for the tips Dahlink. I tend to get so obsessive about doing everything exactly right...it's good to know you made a few simple substitutions. Your eating times are just about right for me too. I don't drink milk either, so maybe I'll substitute a small amount of cheese too. I do have a splash of 1% milk in my coffee - which is better than my usual cream. The hours between 4 and 6 are hardest for me. I'll have to keep myself busy during that time. I also read in the handbook that you can have some fruit in the evening if you're really hungry. Did you do that?

    Hey all, I am baaaaaaack.
I thought we should not post the photos but hang them on our fridges so to see the progress :)

For LLama -- I eat at 9, 12, 3 and 6 o'clock. It works better for me to make a schedule that way. Otherwise I would forget to eat and then it's too late at night to eat, ya know?

Gabesmommy - I started off with way too much food. At least according to what they say you should take in. When it comes to the deli meats, I eat maybe 3 slices of lean ham, I found a really good one finally. And cheese, I don't buy the slices, which probably have less fat than the cheeses I like. Drunken Goat is my favorite right now and half a wedge is enough for me.

Also, don't forget that you don't have to eat all of the foods suggested in one meal. You can choose one only if you like. For instance, I don't like milk, I don't use that part of the meal at all, but sometimes I substitute a tiny bit of cheese for a glass of milk.
Seems to me it's almost the same thing, right?

So, to make a long story short, I have altered the foods a little, but not what they are.
Animal protein I exchange for animal protein.
If I can't find Apricots (carbs) today, I'll get peaches or plums...

I drink a lot of peppermint tea and green tea. I am not a water fan, but I can drink sparkling water. I can manage to drink a liter bottle of that with some lemon.

I don't understand why mustard is not on that menu. I have used Grey Poupon, I need that on any meats I eat without bread. There are no carbs in that mustard, so I think it's alright.

What you have to look at is the distribution of carbs to proteins.

I use powdered creamer in my coffee. I don't care if it is allowed or not. I am thinking that what we're doing now is eating less and loosing weight, what can it hurt to use a little something forbidden or not mentioned.
A tiny bit of milk in your coffee cannot hurt. Frau Dopey has spoken!

Chicken breast sliced would be perfect. Lean steak/London broil sliced would be perfect if you don't like deli meats. I have found a good brand. Kretchmar off the bone. All natural, great flavor.

Make sure, no matter what you do to avoid chocolat. Yes, I said it. It pains me.

    Oh, the salt thing....
I eat a lot of salt so for me those meats are just right.
In the last few years I have felt so bloated and full of water but I never gave that a second thought until I started this diet and from day one, I felt different. More dried out if you get my drift. Suddenly my fingers were normal size again.

Limsy, I don't even know why you are doing this, you certainly don't need to loose weight

I am thinking I don't want the deli meats either, only because aren't they so full of salt?

I have several questions for you Dopey. 1. did you use any kind of mustard? Like can I use Dijon or spicy? 2. did you eat every 2 1/2 hours? Did you find that necessary - can I stretch it to say 3 hours?

Well, I finally made it here - this is all too technical for me - but I shall persevere. I have a question Frau Dopey. I rarely buy deli meats, so I bought chicken breast to poach and slice up - is that ok? And I NEED some milk in my coffee - how much 1% milk is 10 calories?

Dopey - do you have any starting tips for us? What were your portion sizes? Did you drink anything besides water?
