    2010 Ticket offer

Walt Disney World's Armed Forces Salute 2010

From January 3, 2010 to July 31, 2010, Active and Retired U.S. Military, including members of the U.S. Coast Guard and active members of the National Guard or Reservists, may purchase 4-Day Walt Disney World Armed Forces Salute Tickets for themselves and up to five (5) family members and/or friends for $99.

The base ticket is valid for four days of admission into one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks. The park hopper option allows guests to visit more than one park each day. The Water Park and More option gives guests a total of four visits to a choice of a Disney water park, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park or certain other attractions.

During this offer period, active or retired U.S. military personnel may also make a one-time purchase of up to a maximum of five 4-Day companion tickets (one theme park per day) for $99 per ticket, plus tax, for family members (including spouse) or friends. Although this ticket for family members and friends does not include either the Park Hopper or Water Park Fun & More options, this ticket can be upgraded to add either such option, or both, for an additional $25, per option. All tickets and options are non-transferable and must be activated by September 26, 2010. Restrictions and blockout dates apply.

Being the newbie in the group thought it would be nice to learn about the old timers.
If interested would anyone like to share... active or retired, where you're from, where you've been and where you're at now?

If you have any questions about the 2009 Military Tickets promotion, please let me know. I've found some good info about it.

6 days left. Just now realizing I made a BIG mistake scheduling to fly direct to Orlando and meet the family in WDW after 3 days of meetings at Corporate HQ. I'll be useless. Oh well, if they fire me I'll have 9 days to figure out what to do next. It will make the F&WF more exciting. Bonnet Creek here we come.

I agree with Pam&Rich about the SoG room size. We stayed there in '06, and the rooms were huge...we had two beds AND two pack-n-play cribs up with plenty of room.
While admittedly, the decor is not as Disney-esque as the other resorts, the patriotic Mickey in the lobby and Mickey shaped pool were nice touches. We also enjoyed the walk to the Poly most days to get to the monorail or use its transportation, since the SoG transpo was our biggest complaint.

I have a great contact for Bonnet Creek. Transportation is seperate from WDW, but as AP holders we take the car for max flexibility if the resort schedule does not meet our plans. Frequently we can get back to our resort by car before WDW ground transportation can. Just depends on the crowd level. Transportation is the only difference.

I really have to look into renting points next time around. This does sound like such a great deal.
