Oh man, I feel for you. Animals certainly know how to take over the house. Good luck!

When will you be in WDW next? Sorry for being behind in communication as well. We've had internet troubles plus we adopted 3 six week old kittens. They've taken over our house! Thanks for accepting my friendship request!!

Sorry, life just seems to be flying by and I can't keep up. I just realized you wrote back after I did the friend accept. Thanks for the request by the way. I have to say I agree with your husband, it's Disney and just being there is great. We are really impatient to start our vacation but the time is going by slow. It's already pretty cold here.
I do hope you enjoy the stay, we really enjoyed ourselves and loved being in Disney. We were able to walk to DTD which was cool but it was pretty hot to do it and try not to be sweating when you got there. Not sure if it was any quicker that the boats or buses.
I can't say we're expectant onour waitlist for our 1 night added Dec 8th but I'm trying to be very hopeful!

We're waitlisted for BCV but I am not hopeful. We're taking friends this year and I would love for them to stay at BCV. But if that doesn't happen then SSR it is. Like I stated before, we were waitlisted for everything, so getting accomodations at SSR is a blessing. Like my husbands says, if he had to pitch a tent in the parking lot he wouldn't care, it's a Disney parking lot!! He's a little touched.........:)

I just have to ask, did you get on a waitlist? I just went on one and am back on again for my upcoming vacation. DVC called the last day of us being on the waitlist to inform us we got into VWL which is next to impossible. You may make it last minute. I'm praying and pixie dusting out next waitlist because my parents flight isn't until the next night! That wont be good if we're stuck with no place to stay.

Thanks for the info. I'm guessing that I will feel the same way about the resort. I get what you were saying. At this point, I'm just grateful that we're going. We were waitlisted for everything and was lucky to get these accomodations. I know for the next trip to book as soon as were able. I guess what I'm most disappointed in is that we're taking friends with us this year to share the DVC expierience and I was hoping that we could stay at our home resort, BCV. I will let you know what our expierience is when we return. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question!

OKay, this is a complicated question for me. I loved the outside and the pool area and the view where I stayed. The rooms weren't quite my style. They kept trying to get me to buy there when we were looking at DVC but I woudn't even consider it. We live in RI. We are close to the water but the notical theme isn't overly done here. We have a place called Fire N Ice a great restaurant near us and it is the exact style of the counter service/gift shop. The rooms were like looking around the houses in my area and the pool bar was never open when we wanted a drink.
We like to feel as though we are on vacation somewhere else. We enjoy the big "theme" places and just felt it was like every other home. I know it's all big on the welcome home thing but I want to be welcomed home to my "different" home. You should try to get a place as close to the main building as possible. The Springs I think were closest, we had the Carousel and that wasn't too bad. The buses never seemed to go the same route and it seemed we were always the first picked up and the last dropped off.
I know I probably didn't help you feel good about it, but a lot of people are really crazy about SSR and love it too! Tell me how you like it when you return. Honestly all my issues were personal preferences not any issue with the resort itself or the people there.

I see that you stayed at SSR in 2007. We'll be staying there for the first time this December. How did you enjoy it?
