I decided to go ahead & go for full time & I switched from attractions to research. I go in tomorrow to interview, so wish me luck! I'll update y'all when I get home! Out of curiosity, are there any CMs on these boards?

I'm not, but people frequently mistake my friend Andy and me for CMs. It's kind of funny when they do actually. Our standard response is something like "You're actually the 5th person this week to ask us that."

BTW, I rememeber that someone recently asked if there were any CMs in the group. I only saw one response; I believe the CM worked at Disneyland.

By the way, I believe there are four or five CMs here, one at Disneyland, and the rest at WDW. The CMs at WDW are not real active on the boards. Maybe in your new position, you can spread the word? I'll see if I can round up some names for you of current CMs.

OK...for the update...

I've got good news, bad news & good news:
Good news...I'm hired!!!!!!!
Bad news...research position was filled, so I had to go with option "B" (to be detailed in a minute)
Good news...In 3 months, I can transfer to the research position if it opens & if I do, it would be considered a promotion. Very cool.

So...I took part time @ MGM. I'll be working ToT, RnRC, Fantasmic! & the theater. YAY!!! I go back on Monday to finish my paperwork & schedule for Traditions!

So, who's next to pass through & visit?? :D

Yea! I am very happy for you. I hope the research job opens up. What exactly would that mean you are doing? My family will be down on Aug. 1. We are going to MK on the 2 and probably AK on the 3 with either the Studio or Epcot the next day. Do you have a recomendation on what day is best (crowd wise) at these places? It would be really cool to see you. My name is Leslie and I will be with my family and our grandaughter.:D

To date, the only definite "rule" to the *which park, which day* question that I've confirmed...avoid MK on Fridays & Saturdays! Honestly, the last few times I've been to MGM & EPCOT, they haven't been too crowded. Then again, I haven't yet been this summer, so it's hard to say. I'll probably have a bit more insight onto days/crowds for MGM after I've been there a couple of weeks, so check back with me later into July.

Keep me posted before your trip & I'll let you know what my schedule looks like. If anyone plans on coming down, just email or PM me!

Dawn, congrats on the job, sorry you didn't get the one you wanted. Sounds like you will have a great chance in the near future though, so enjoy spooking people at ToT while you have the chance.

By the way, would you be upset if I changed your user title to "WDW CM"? I am not sure if I am going to do it or not, but it is a thought.

Fine by me! Now that you brought that up, it could be helpful to others to know if certain people here are/do become CMs. Before I did all of this, I always wondered who on all the message boards did work at WDW. For those who wish to share that info & want to offer "local" assistance to forum members, it would be quite helpful to have them recognized as such in some way. Not a bad idea & if you opt to do it, I'll play guinea pig, gladly. ;) Thanks again for the congrats!!

Thanks for the infor about MK on Friday and
Sat. becasue the book I was reading, The Unofficial Guide, says those are the best days to go! It says most people get there over the weekend and go straight to MK on Sunday or Monday. I will be in touch when we go. It would be great to say Hello!

Magic Kingdom is pretty much ALWAYS the most crowded park. I have found weekends during the summer to be particularly gruesome there. IMHO, Mnday would be your best bet as far as an MK visit.
