So it's one of those things, like finding all the hidden characters in the FF games. You don't have to do it, but well it shows how much of a man you are!
Well my friend you want a game like that, get Animal Crossing for GC! Try collecting all the bugs, fish, furniture, and NES games! Now thats a challenge. Sometimes I wonder how repetetive tedious tasks make this game so gosh darn fun!

I picked this up for the first time on Friday--but didn't get to actually start playing it until last night. It's awesome! I just wish I could figure out what I'm supposed to be doing. The first big bad guy that came up (made from my own shadow, which I thought was COOL!) I think beat me. It didn't really state that he did, just the screen went all fuzzy and I fell through some shadows to wake up on a beach. Can we start a thread for newbies to this game to give a few hints on how to beat the bad guys? The little ones aren't hard. But the big ones--as well as the blonde guy on the island, the one who says it's for the championship--are HARD. Still haven't done it. But, I am enjoying the game immensely.

Oh, and, in case anyone can answer this: I took the sword, but gave up the shield. No idea what that's supposed to signify, but the wand looks cool, so I thought I should keep that one. No idea when/if/how to use it, but whatever.

Help!! I PM'd Matt (rowdyraider) for some tips on how to get past a specific level. It is on the island, and it is at the first encounter with the heartless. It is right after Sora's mother calls him for dinner...and he goes out because the storm hit and he was worried about his friends and the raft they made. Lots and Lots of "heartless" come attacking Sora. We have found a door, but he cannot go through it until he finds Riku...but after approximatley 20 (or more!) tries, we keep being attacked by the heartless and run out of health and have to start that level over again.

Can Matt or anyone help??

So, you beat Riku in the race? How???? I can always beat him to the star, but can't beat him back! I've tried turning around and watching his path back, but he's always gone before I can find him! I've tried running the same path back that I came, but can't jump on that ledge, so I end up swimming around a portion of the island, and he's always back there before I get there.

Can anyone tell me how to beat him back? Am I supposed to do something with the trees? (I ask that, because I've seen that stupid rope that's stretched across the back portion of the island, but can't reach it! I figure I've got to climb a tree to get to it.)

What path am I supposed to take?

Also B, have you tried taking a potion during your search for Riku? That might help. Also, I think the higher your level, the longer you'll last.

While I've been trying to figure out a way to beat Riku during the race, I've been intermittently challenging all three of the other kids. It's definitely helped my levels up. I think I'm at a level 9 now. It's taken a while, but I figure that'll help as far as keeping some life. The higher my level goes, the longer I last in trying to beat those three. And the more I beat them, the higher my level goes. It's pretty awesome. I got high enough that, for a while there, I was easily able to beat Riku during that duel. I've done it several times, but all I got was one lousy potion the first time I beat him. :(

I'm bound and determined to beat him in that foot race! The reward's GOT to be something good!

Yes! I can now help! I finally got there, and was able to do it. Riku is on the pier, back where you were able to practice fight him at the beginning. Not sure I like him--he's wigged out a little.

Anyway, just simply run back into the room where the save spot is, then up the stairs, and across the bridge. As soon as you get most of the way there, it will trigger a movie where you talk to Riku. He says he wants you to come with him off the planet and into the darkness (he's not scared), and then the shadows swallow him up. The keyblade will appear in your hands. Quickly start battling the shadows. I (personally) battled them over and over by going in and saving my game every once in a while. I gained several levels before I finally opened the new door that appears over the "hidden place".

While you don't get any munny, you do get LOADS of experience and can easily gain one or two levels. I would recommend it before going through that new door. You'll have to fight that big Shadow dude again once you cross over. It's a COOL fight! Especially once you win!

One thing puzzles me, though. Whenever you win, he doesn't really disappear. He just stands up, and then shoots up into the sky. Doesn't dissolve, or anything. So, it's hard to know that you won, even though you win.

I got more satisfaction from battling the armor guy in Traverse Town, and then also the tower thing in Wonderland. They definitely disappear, and it's obvious you won those battles.

I'm LOVING this game!!!!

Oh, and, I'm not done with Wonderland yet. I have freed all 9 of the Puppies in Wonderland, and am hoping that I'm getting to the end of that level soon. I'm getting tired of the Bizaar room--it keeps changing and rotating and you have to do too many things to activate other portions of the room so you can get different places. Ugh!

I was talking to a friend who said the next place to go to is Olympus to fight in several tournements. Can't wait!!!!!! One you even get to fight Hercules himself! I hope I can beat him.

Allright guys, now my B-day was a week ago, so I know lots are wondering where I am. WEll I got a PS2 for my B-day and Kingdom hearts! So now I am in my room playing PS2, so it's work, school, and kingdom hearts!

He won't find her in Wonderland. She's been taken to Hollow Bastion. MUCH later in the game, he'll be able to "rescue" her.

I think the only female not taken to Hollow Bastion is Wendy.
