Shhhh - I took a "non-Disney"!
Well, hubby and I spent a long weekend last week at Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas. I must admit that I was reluctant to agree to go since I could be spending that time and money at, where else?, Disney!
Atlantis is an absolutely beautiful resort! The place is huge - you need a map to find your way around. There is so much to do there that you never have to leave. They have pools, waterslides, the ocean (of course), lagoons, and areas of tropical fish everywhere! Think Living Seas as a huge outside resort but that still doesn't give Atlantis is due. I admit that when we arrived I told hubby that we could have really done something similar at Disney. He just shook his head. :hmmm The resort is truly Disneyesque but the staff could basically care less. They want your money and want to be rid of you. And you will be spending lots and lots of money at Atlantis. Everything is expensive and everything includes a 20% gratuity - there is even a gratuity charge daily just for staying at the resort. Well, that is my non-Disney confession for the year. Next trip - Disney, Disney, Disney! :)

Sounds like a neat place to visit, Cinderellafifi, but I'd rather live at WDW. And people ask me if I ever get tired of WDW & why don't I try something else. I ought to print out your post & hand it to people like that.
Oh well, lesson learned, huh?

Oh, that sounds really nice. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I would like to have a nice romantic getaway with that special someone. That's just what I need right now.
One reason I love Disney so much is because even if the people really want you to spend your money and leave, they don't act like they do. That's one of the reasons we go to Disney is to feel special for awhile. It still sounds like that was a Beautiful place though.
