Oh me! Oh my! I'm less than a month away!!

How did this trip sneak up on me? Granted I think I have most of the planning done, but I haven't even begun to think about paking and getting organized.

For this trip we have my mother who will be joining us for the entire trip and MIL who will join us for the last few days. DS is going to be SOOOOOO spoiled by the 2 of them. Then again, we ARE going to WDW to celebrate DS's birthday.

For his birthday we got him meals at CRT (he is totally in LOVE with the princesses, but Belle is his favorite by FAR!!!) and also at Chef Mickey because that is just so much fun!!

And for Mommy (meaning me ;) ), my Mom will stay with DS in the evening sometimes so DH and I will get to have some child-free time to do things like go to PI.

Now, I need to start figuring out how to pack compactly. Any suggestions on necessities that I MUST bring? (Yes, I know clothes.) I just want to travel lightly this time. Thanks!!

<--- cause DS keeps singing "Yo Ho Yo Ho"
<-- for some extra Mickey magic
<-- cause there is no princess icon

Re: Oh me! Oh my! I'm less than a month away!!

Oh how fun to be going so soon.

One of my very favorite things to use is the 2 gallon ziploc bags. I put everything i can fit into it and then have one of the kids sit on it, so that all the air comes out, and then zip it up.

Just remember not to over stuff. It is so much easier to pack this way. My husband never has to ask "Where are my socks or etc......" I usually give the kids 2 or three bags a piece. Last year this helped us use a smaller suitcase. But believe it or not we took more stuff.

This helps so much with us. I also take washing detergent with me. My children like to wear some of the same cloths while we are there. So when they go for a swim i put a load in the wash. That way they don't take as many cloths.

Hope it helps a little.

I really need to try the zip lock bag idea ...I sometimes feel as though I am packing to move I pack so much. I do laundry too and those little Sample bottles or boxes are perfect

Re: Oh me! Oh my! I'm less than a month away!!

Definitely doing laundry on this trip. We will be staying at Beach Club Villas (yeay DVC) during the week so we will have a washer in the room. BIG help since I have a 2yo and DH (who turns into a big kid at Disney, LOL).

Got a couple of spray fans and lots of sunscreen too. Hopefully this will start to fall together in another week or so. I hate it when I pack last minute (even thought that is usually what I do. )

The 2 gallon bag idea is good. makes it easier when they open your bag at the airport too I would think.
