Where to go 5th day?

We are going to spend a day at each WDW park Aug. 2-5. I am asking for suggestions for Aug. 6. I know there are many options. We will have a 6 year old and 3 young adults with my husband and myself. We have been to Universal but not Islands of Adventure. Nothing else can compare to Disney but if you have any suggestions....

My suggestion, if you want to go offsite, is to have one adult stay at Disney with the 6 year old, and go to Magic Kingdom and then EPCOT in the afternoon, and have one adult take the young adults to Islands of Adventure. There really isn't much for a 6 year old to do there, and the others will love the big roller coasters there. We usually do that one day during our trips, one of us stays with the little ones and the other one goes with the big boys. It seems to work really well, and your 6 year old will love the personal attention.

Depending on everyone's personal interests & desires, here's a few, varied suggestions:

1. Sea World - Can be taken at a slower pace than the WDW parks & appeals to all ages.
2. Pointe Orlando - This is on International Drive. Here, you'll find outlet shops, FAO Schwartz, awesome dining (I suggest Johnny Rockets...like a diner, with entertainment & killer service!), & Wonderworks. Wonderworks is an interesting attraction. It is the upside down building....kinda stand out a bit. :D It's about $18 for admission. It's a hands-on type environment....science type things, musical things, simulators (hurricane, roller coaster, earthquake, etc.) & more. VERY cool place. My 5 year old daughter asks for this even before Disney!! All of us adults loved it too. This would be good t start out with lunch at Johnny Rockets, do some shopping, drop off the bags & hit Wonderworks for the evening.
3. Water parks: Wet & Wild, WaterMania, WDW water parks.
4. Afternoon poolside OR rent an airboat OR go go-karting OR mini golfing OR do Gatorland, Jungleland Zoo... THEN do a dinner show in the evening.

Any of these sound appealing? If you want more info on any of them, just let me know & I'll get it to ya! ;)

I agree with mickey. Leave the little'uns at Magic Kingdom and take the older folks to Islands of Adventure. I wish I could live at Islands of Adventure. Only problem would be I'd be too far away from Cedar Point!

Are you staying in the kingdom? If so, break up the days with a slow day back at the hotel. take a dip in the pool, relax -- or better yet- wake up LATER that day - go to a park, then go back to relax.
Running around Disney can be tiring!

I vote for taking the 6 yr old back to MK to see any missed or favorite attraction again, possibly taking a slower pace if the previous days were from morning to night. The last time I went to WDW for 5 days was prior to AK. I had my poor, then wife-to-be, out from 8AM to closing most of the time. She had to fight me for some pool time, so be aware that the youngster could suffer from burn-out where a dip in the pool mid-day could work wonders to revive for a trip to a park in the evening. Good luck and enjoy your trip. :)

Since we don't even like to leave WDW, I would suggest either BB or TL. If you're getting length of stay passes (whatever they're calling them now) you could then head back to MK in the evening.

IOA is great for the older people in your group, but might be a little to much for the 6 year old. I took my now 7 year old there last summer and except for Dr. Suess land the rides were a little rough (scary to her, especially the spiderman ride with the fire and ice) and she is a tough kid. I would opt for Sea World if you all want to go together and do something other then a Disney park, that way everyone will have fun.:)

Well, I may not be the best person to answer this question for ya, since I'm totally addicted to WDW, but I'm gonna anyway. While I really enjoy the other offerings that the surrounding area has to offer (I've been to Islands of Adventure twice, and it really is awesome for the older kids and adults. I loved it) I just can't seem to tear myself away from WDW. If your a regular to WDW, say once a year or so, then maybe it wouldn't be so bad to see some of the other stuff, but if you only get to make the trip to WDW every so often, my vote would be spend every second available there.
