Icon4 MouseFest 2004 - Dec 9-13 - I need your help/suggestions!

Hi, everyone. Believe it or not, it's already time to start planning for MouseFest 2004, which will be held this year from Dec 9 - 13.

(For those of you who might not know what MouseFest is, don't fret, check out this link: http://www.allearsnet.com/btp/mousefest.htm).

First of all, and most importantly, I'd like to get an idea of how many DCers will be there this year. Secondly, I'd like to plan a DC-only meet and need your ideas for a date and place. We tried the Candelight Processional last year which didn't work out too well due to logistics - maybe we should do something in a less-populus place/attraction. Those of you who'll be coming, please let me know what you think.

Now for the main plea for help. DisneyCentral will be represented again this year at MouseFest, and has been asked to take a much more prominent role in the activites - and thus my request for help. Deb Wills, the wonderful person who's the ringleader and organizer of MouseFest, has requested that DC host one of the MouseFest official "meet 'n greet" events. We can pretty much do anything we want to, so I wanted to ask all of you what you think would be the best/most fun event to host. Remember that these meets will be open and advertised to all MouseFest attendees, not just DCers.

Here are a few of my ideas, feel free to vote for one of these or add your own:

-Tower of Terror Scareathon - ride the tower together until we experience all 4 drop profiles. Crowds/lines permitting.
-Mission:Space DisneyCentral Spin 'n Barf - Ride Mission:Space together as a group. Prizes for those who are the "greenest" after the ride.
-Illuminations viewing - Book a private viewing area for Illuminations at Epcot.
-Group meal - Book a restaurant for a group meal. Maybe even a character meal of some type.
-Haunted Mansion meet - Ride the Haunted Mansion as a group just before park closing - when it's as dark outside as possible.
-Adventurer's Club meet - Book a private party at the Adventurer's Club at Pleasure Island.
-DisneyCentral Great Escape - Experience together as a group the new Stitch's Great Escape attraction.

Thanks for reading this lengthy tome, and I really, really, really would appreciate hearing any suggestions you might have - even if you won't be joining us this year!

Thanks!

Oh, that gets my vote, since I will not be there.

Really, I think the ToT idea is cool as is the Adventure Club meet.

I'd like to watch the "spin and barf" on MS! One spin and I'd win!

My vote would be for the private party for Illuminations, but the only days I can go are December 9th or the 13th due to working at Wal-Mart on the weekends.

Scott -

The Adventure's club thing sounds really neat, but that may be a problem for people who have children coming and don't like leaving them in the kid clubs. What about a cruise thingy for wishes or Illuminations. Do they BIGish boats for larger groups? The Spin and Barf would be hysterical...more becasue I won't be there to participate, I would love to see the picutures of that..lol

Oh. man do I wish you hadn't posted this. Now I REALLY want to go. I am pretty sure that we wouldn't be able to go, but I really wish I could meet some of the DC people. When is the Meet-N-Greet??

I could probably drive over, but I can't commit now. But let me know whats up closer to the event! Oh and I don't do ToT (I don't like free falls) or M:S (I'd throw up during the ride)
