Disney Checks, over the top?

A few weeks ago we ran low on our checks for our joint account. My DW said that it was my turn to order new ones, ok no probs. I went to our bank's online "store" and low and behold they had Disney themed checks available. Needless to say I went ahead and ordered a nice large supply. When asked if I ordered the checks I replyed: "Yes love".

The boxes of checks arrived and I really didn't think about it, just popped them into the desk. Yesterday my DW needed the new checks and you should have heard her. First a loud gasp, then a "you have to be kidding", then just uncontrolled chuckles.

As penance I now am in charge of writing out bills, I really don't mind, makes me think of WDW as I fill out the Peter Pan or Snow White check

So did I stray to the over the top area or is this just another valid PDD fix?

I have checks that rotate the four Princess' and their castles. I have the matching address labels also. No, you did not go over the top!

We had checks that on one it had Mickey's face, the next was Minnie, then Goofy, etc. They were very cute. Then I ordered the ones with the scenes from the different movies (Peter Pan, Jungle Book, Pinnochio, etc.) I thought dh would be embaressed to go to Home Depot and use them but he actually liked them.

So you are not alone.....there are worse things then having a little Disney Magic in your life....

I don't think you are going to get a truthful yes from anyone on Dc, because honestly all of us do the exact same thing. I get my between Disney fixes anyway I can. I have Main Street Mickey Stickers (It's the castle and themed to look like a walk down main street at WDW complete with balloons, fireworks, hot dogs, and a certain pixie) on my notebook that I am using for student teaching. It is really helping me get through till that trip at the first of Oct.

I have had Disney checks for about the last 2-3 years and LOVE them!!! My DH is not crazy about them but I think he secretly likes them too!!!

We have a Disney Visa, the "Fab Five" checks with matching address labels and a Disney check book cover. I say you didn't go far enough!!

Good to know I am not alone. I thought about the Disney Visa, but the Miles One card has paid for our airfare everywhere we go and with a son in college the miles really helped. Now we need to refill the miles bank for that next WDW trip ! ! !

We have the Disney Classic checks...& Rafikiman even helped me pick them out! Of course I don't let him carry a checkbook 'cause he has a tendency to misplace them. But I give him a check to carry in his wallet just in case & it's always a Landy & the Tramp one! That's his favorite!

We have Disney Checks, I make our own return labels, using Disney characters and using the Disney font, have Disney ringers and wallpapers on both of my cell phones (one work one personal) and on my DW’s, we have Disney stickers on both cars, I wear Disney t-shirts every day, both of us have Disney key chains, I always carry Disney Dollars in my wallet….Shall I go on?

BTW my vote is that YOU are not “over the top” but us………You decide.

Maybe your wife seeing the characters on the checks will make her want to go back instead of somewhere else. Think of it as a subliminal (sp?) reminder of WDW for her. You are certainly not over the top. I have and wear Dsiney socks to work every single day to just get a small fix...lol I haven't bothered with the checks because I just don't write that many of them. I online bank more often then not. The return labels sound cool though....I'll have to look into that. BTW: my mom has the disney checks...lol

We have gad the "Fab Five" checks for over 2 years now.... Our local bank brought it to my wifes attention (knowing that she is the fanatic).. We went from writing 3 or 4 checks a month and using on-line banking to writing mostly checks again!!!!
