A HUGE Thank You!!!!!

OK I think our very own Mickey deserves a big huge round of applause!!! I recently noticed that he was running the show by himself, without the help of any moderators. So out of concern, I sent a PM his way to find out the story. He said that he had chosen to run DC this way and I wanted to send a huge THANK YOU to him. Running a website is a very big responsiblility, and running a forum is even more responsibility. So before you shout off and post to something that has offended you, or to something you simply don't like, then just follow these steps:

1) Take a deep breath, calmly relax, maybe even walk away from the computer
2) Think about how you really want to handle the situation. Is it something that should really be handled in public or would a PM be more apropriate??
3) If you do feel it necessary to share this in public, then choose your words carefully for them.
4) If you some upon a thread that has gotten out of hand, don't be afraid of using the button that allows you to report a thread.

So before you respond to something think about Mickey, lets not create more work for Mickey!!! For all of you who do this, give yourself a pat on the back!!

I told you yesterday in our PM what a great job I think you do with this site, but I want to again stress to you how much I appreciate having this place to come and talk Disney with some great people. I wish you could have at least a little help just to ease your mind. Let me know if there is anything at all I can possibly do for you. I would in a second, but I think you already know that.

I would also like to thank Mickey for this site. It has been my only internet Disney home and source of information, fun and friendship. But I have to say, as a former moderator of DC, that recent problems with "immoral invaders" has made me feel so helpless when I see friends being attacked and disgusting pictures being posted. I commend Mickey for working this website alone, but help is needed to keep our home clean. Clean for the adults as well the children who visit, read and post on DC. This includes my own children.

Like Rlander, DC has been my ONLY Disney home, since I discovered it. Mickey has done an awesome job handling such a fast-growing, dynamic site. And we can all help him, as pointed out by Disneyguy and in any other way he (Mickey) might suggest. As upsetting as yesterday's "episodes" were, it can certainly be a wake-up call for the members here who love this site and look at it as a warm, cozy "cyber-home". I'm optimistic that things are going to get better & better for DC from here on in.

I also have to give Mickey a big pat on the back for having such a great, friendly, informative site. I have learned so much from this community and the people here are so friendly and great..unlike a few other boards I found where they are constantly arguing and name calling.

I have said it before and will say it again and again .. DC is home, family and friends. Mickey you have always done an outstanding job. And the money to run this site comes out of your own pocket I know .. DC is a gift you have given us. Not to mention Mouseketrips :) which has made our last 4 trips the easiest I have ever had to plan.

I've always believed the power of positive thinking can fix anything.

I wasn't even aware of the picture-posting controversy.

Anyhoo, I will not allow DC to get poisoned to the point where people won't feel comfortable. I love this place for all the information and all the people that I've met, some of whom I consider friends.
