Seasonal Passes are Great!
We were at WDW this past August for 4 days. When we went we decided to get Florida Resident Seasonal Passes because we planned on going back again within the year. Last night DW and I were talking and during our discussion she said that now that the Hurricanes were over, (FAT CHANCE), We should try to go to WDW for a day trip this month. As a matter of fact she said that we should go at least twice a month while we have the passes. Of course the majority, if not all, of these trips would be day trips. I got so excited. I couldn't believe it.
I have been trying to get DW in the "I Can't Wait to go to Disney" Club for a few years. Maybe I am finally getting through to her. Anyway, I wanted to brag...I mean tell you guys my good news. |

Re: Seasonal Passes are Great!
I moved down to Florida 9/22/99. I had my first annual pass 9/30/99. I go once, twice a month. I estimate I have come to WDW 100 times in the 5 years I have been an AP'er.

Re: Seasonal Passes are Great!
We are frequent visitors and have found that the seasonal passes are a great value for us. We normally go to WDW in the off-seasons anyway because we prefer not to deal with the larger crowds and the unbearable summer heat. We go to WDW at least 2x a year, sometimes 3x. We are only a 3 hour drive from WDW so when we go it is almost always for a Friday-Sunday weekend (since my son has been born we havent done a true disney "vacation" for more then just a couple of days. Once he is out of the terrible twos we probably will go for the longer stay).

Re: Seasonal Passes are Great!
Ditto!!!
We burn holes in our seasonal passes. We do several planned weekends each year. But, when the feeling moves us, we shoot up the road and enjoy a day trip. We also avoid summer months, and those school breaks at Easter and Christmas, and really don't miss going during blackout times. I think the best thing about passes are that you can come and go as you please. I definatly get my moneys worth.

Re: Seasonal Passes are Great!
I spent the extra money for the Annual rather than the Seasonal pass because I like the free parking. The minute they discontinue the free parking is the time I go down to seasonal.

Re: Seasonal Passes are Great!
Mickaholic....do you stay at the disney resorts? If you stay at one of the resorts that allows you free parking at the parks. Also, if you stay at the resort the bus transportation is very good....no need to even drive your own car to the parks (unless you prefer to).

Re: Seasonal Passes are Great!
DW and I had seasonal passes back when we lived in Jacksonville, but after moving to Orlando we changed to annual passes because we couldn't bear living in the Mouse's backyard and not being able to go whenever the mood strikes us. It's a great feeling to wake up in the morning and be able to say "Let's go to Disney today!" Sometimes we make a full day of it, but sometimes we'll just go to see the fireworks or to have dinner at a favorite restaurant or to check out an attraction we haven't been to in awhile.
We go to the Flower & Garden Festival and the Food & Wine Festival each year and try to see every musical act that performs at the Flower Power and Eat to the Beat concerts. We particularly enjoy going several times during the Christmas holidays to enjoy the decorations and hear a couple of different narrators for the Candelight Processional. And it's great to be able to go to passholder previews, too. We also get lots of out-of-town friends and relatives who visit, and of course they all want to go to Disney, so the APs are great in that respect. It's amazing how popular you suddenly become when you live in Orlando. We certainly get much more than our money's worth out of our passes. During our last passholder ticket year, we used our passes 40 times. Throw in the Disney Dining Experience perks and it's like living in paradise. Now, if they could just do something about those hurricanes! ![]()
