B-day gift for daughter

My wife and I need some ideas for a b-day gift for my daughter. Her b-day is November 4th. She is turning 7. She is not into toys like most girls her age. She is very much into playing soccer and watching basketball and football. She is very athletic and loves jump rope and other playground activities. Does anyone have any Disney or non-Disney ideas of what we can get her? What do other parents of 7 year old girls give them?

Thanks!!!!

Here is picture of her.

Re: B-day gift for daughter

First of all let me say that she is absolutely beautiful.
Second, her birthday is the same as my 2 boys.
Thirdly, when all else fails it's Legos for us. They always work and can be quite sophisticated. I am sure she plays with somethings around the house when the weather is too bad to play her sports outside.

I love your signature!

Does she have a razor scooter? Pogo Stick? My 6 1/2 year old loves both of those!

Re: B-day gift for daughter

Thanks for the compliment Dopey. She does not like to play with Lego's. Inside she typiclally likes to play on the computer. Games like Jumpstart.

She does not have a scooter. She learned how to ride her bike this spring. She has a new bike so no need for one of those. A Pogo stick may be a great idea. She has one of those skip its and loves it.

Keep the ideas coming....I need help...

Let's see,

A Pony is always nice at that age, pair of puppies might work, of course tickets to WDW would be my pick :).

You do have a lovely daughter,

oh yes a very lovely daughter. I am big on educational "toys" myself .. and now a days they have so many that are so fun!!! Anything that makes a child think. I dont even think she is too young for a telescope, and it can be such a wonderful "family" thing to do.

A pony!!!! No place to keep that...LOL...

She does love educational games. She has a bunch of computer games. I think I will look for a new board game. She likes to play chess and checkers. Are there any Disney chess sets out there?

Thanks for the ideas so far.

Re: B-day gift for daughter

If she is athletic and likes staying outside a lot, I would suggest a Huffy Green Machine. I bought one for my then, 8 year old son last year, and my sister bought one for her seven year old daughter the year before. It is like a big wheel but better. Anyway, both our kids absolutely loved it, and all the kids in the neighborhood always want to use it. I bought mine at Kmart online but I think they sell them at Target as well.

Re: B-day gift for daughter

Since she likes soccer, you might look on amazon.com. I bought a make your own soccer ball kit. It comes with a ball and paints and you can design your own ball. Also , skip its are fun. it goes around your ankle and you spin it around and jump over it.

Re: B-day gift for daughter

I just found a really cool gift for my daughter. It is a 5 in 1 tv game with Disney characters. Here's a link to the description.

Since your DD likes to play games, have you thought about computer games by The Learning Center? Games like Treasure Mountain, Operation Neptune, or Mixed Up Mother Goose. They are very well done, entertaining and very adept at teaching while the child is having fun.
