WDW Trip Jump Start

OK, we're in the middle of summer, talk of our trip in May has tapered off a bit (been busy), ended a series of several 3 day weekends at the Jersey Shore, now I'm home for a while and its time to get back to business, WDW business that is. What I realized is that its getting late for doing some pre-trip planning. You wouldn't think it so, but the kids will be needing some new clothes for when we go but it will be too early to shop for summer clothes prior to early Mayl. The next best thing...this years summer close-out sales! We stocked them up on a few nice outfits and will be placing an order with the Disney Catalog to take advantage of their summer sales. Additionally, we will be getting back to the practice of purchasing Disney Dollars for the kids to save for their trip. It seems you can never start too soon.

Some say its too early to start planning, but the success of our last trip was the result of proper ahead-of-time-planning. With so much to do and see, you really have to be very focused and aware of your expectations and limitations before you go. I shudder to think of the family that goes for the first time to figure it all out when they are there! Good thing for DC! :) :)

WDW Planning

Hi Piratesfan,

I have to agree it is never to early to start planning. I spend my whole life planning my next trip to disney. I book as soon as I come back from my previous holiday and then start saving and buying for 2 year solid for my 2 yearly 3 week Disney Fix :p
