Something horrible has happened. All of my pictures from ALL of my Walt Disney World trips (okay, it's only 3, but...) are gone! And not just lost, I mean GONE FOREVER.

I left them in a storage unit in Oregon, and forgot they were there. Recently we decided it was no longer worth it to pay $40/month to store our misc. junk (mostly furniture & kitchen utensils) so we told the owner they could sell it all or throw it away. We would probably not make it back to pick it up soon anyway.

I didn't remember until today (2 days after the fact!) that my WDW pictures were in there. ALL OF THEM--GONE! I am so devastated. So, so devastated.

Perhaps the owner hasn't cleaned it out yet. Call the owner and ask if the pictures can be saved. They may be waiting for the weekend. Take the chance.

Yeah, call them ASAP. Be very nice and ask please, please.....but don't whine...if they can look to see if they are in the trash or if they haven't gone thru the stuff yet. Cross your fingers, give a quick prayer to St. Anthony (if you are so inclined), and call ASAP. You might be very surprised!!

you didnt by any chance have at least some of them on disk or CD did you??? maybe even a few in your computer?
I hope too that they have not got around to cleaning it out and wish you luck in getting them back!!

I can't tell you how sorry I am. My pictures of my family through the years mean everything to me. In fact it's a long standing family joke,that if there's a natural disaster, everyone has to fend for themselves, because I'll be getting all my photos out of the house!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you will still be able to get them back. REMEMBER: "All you need is faith and trust...and a little bit of pixie dust!"

Two years ago we videotaped my son's first birthday party (our ONLY child). We threw a large party at a local park. We were watching it with my sister and somehow we must have gotten distracted and the wrong button was pushed on the camcorder. When we went to show the video to someone else a few days later all we had on the tape was a blue screen and the voices of us and my sister from a few days prior. My son's first birthday party tape was gone forever!! I was sooo upset. We did take tons of pictures though so at least we have those. I have to admit though....I would have been MORE upset if the tape with my son's first visit to disney had been taped over. After the tape mis-hap my husband now makes sure to transfer all video to a vhs tape and breaking the seal ASAP rather then just having the copy on the mini-tape inside the camcorder.

Hope you can get the pictures back....those are priceless!

That is too, too bad! I hope that by some miracle (I agree, a prayer to St. Anthony couldn't hurt lol) they are still there. Maybe someone noticed that they were photographs and put them to the side. Pixie dust to you.

I am praying for you...what a tragedy!!! I agree, you should check with them asap...and if they are gone, well I am really sorry. But hey, this will give you an excuse to have even more trips to Disney to make up for those lost three trips. I am pulling for you kiddo.

I had to laugh when I read your post because I am the same way. I keep all of our photo albums together and have always told DH that he is responsible for getting teh kids and the dogs out in case of a fire while I grab the photos. Of course, in reality, the kids and pets are more important, but if possible I would have to save our photos too.

I really hope that the owners of the storage building have not thrown out the pictures dzneygirl. I know it would be devastating to loose them. Let us k now if you were able to get them back.
