I was thinking just a few seconds ago about the animators as I ran of the songs in Treble choir I had performed earlier today... And I thought of the perfect theme song for them. "R-E-S-P-E-C-T".

The animators need their respect! But there's not enough going around at Disney these days...

No there isnt .. you know how grandpa and I walk around looking at the art work for sale in the animation store at the end of the "so called tour" and even the cells.. the artwork in the films has always just blown me away .. I will always remember sitting in the theater, like when we saw brother bear and the feeling that I was looking at a masterpiece of art work..
The change at the so called animation tour broke my heart .. I always loved walking through there and seeing them at work, because back when I was your age it was my dream.

No, what I mean is, like in the corporation itself. Sorry for the confusion; I just think that, if Eisner actually cared for the people and not about the money there would still be actual Disney animated movies. I don't know about you, but the previews of the Disney produced-3d animated movie hurt my eyes, and 3d Mickey looks scary. I personally prefer actual artwork over 3d, so to keep me impressed the stories had better be good...!

I know I'm just raggin' on Disney, it sounds like... But I'm just broken hearted. The animators don't have any real respect from the "big shot".

Well computer animation is the hottest thing now...look at Shrek, the Polar Express, and of course the best group Pixar...we are amazed with computer animation just like people in the twenties were amazed when they saw mickey dance and sing....times are changing...who knows what tomorrow will bring! But I agree, I love classic animation too...you just appreciate the hardwork so much more you know!

A good story line. Quality illustrations.

If Disney still did these things, no one would be talking about CA replacing cartoons. It's a lousey string of films, not a disinterest in traditional animation that is hurting Disney.

I remember seeing a documentary on Walt Disney a few years ago. They talked about how Walt viewed his employees as family. When Disney animators went on strike, he was completely suprised and hurt that they didn't view the company the same way.
