Disney clothing

Ok, here's my deal with Disney T-shirts.

In my dresser I keep a separate pile of T-shirts that are just Disney , about 18 in all.

I love to wear these T's, but I also hate to...I don't want to wear them out. (Good reason to go back...to buy more!! LOL)

I have a new La Nouba and Pirate's of the Carribbean T-shirt still with the price tag on it and have no plans to wear them....yet!

My favorite used shirt is a grey embroidered Dixie Landings Resort

Most expensive - a grey embroidered golf shirt, about $48.

Of all the souvenirs, nothing compares to WDW clothing as something that expresses my love for the place. My DW thinks I'm pathetic for the above, but here's my reasoning. I guess I do covet my Disney shirts a bit. I remember as a kid going to WDW with my parents, never really knowing when I would get to go back. As a result, my T-shirts were always special by the fact that they could only be obtained in WDW.

Does anyone else keep a special regard for Disney shirts or souvenirs?

I think I have that same shirt...just a plain grey shirt with the Dixie Landings logo in the upper corner? That is one of my favorites because it was part of a bunch of free stuff (shirts, mugs, cakes, wine, etc) that we got from the resort just by mentioning we were on our honeymoon. Personally, I collect coffee mugs from my disney trips... I absolutely refuse to drink coffee at home without a disney mug. :)

You see, that's another thing. My wife and I have several Disney mugs, but I hate to use them. There was a time when the Disney store used to have mugs corresponding to whatever the current new release movie was at the time. My wife has all of them (never used, in storage, and don't care). I sometimes use an oversized Pirate's of the Carribbean mug. And yes, that's the same Dixie Landings shirt. My wife and I both love it there after 2 trips.

I won't buy a drink in WDW that is not in a souvenir cup. We have so many that they take up one whole cabinet. And...I won't leave home without coffee in one of my special disney mugs. Ft. Wilderness is my favorite, only because I lost my Wilderness Lodge mug:hmmm Wonder where it is:hmmm

Disney T's

My DH drives me crazy with his Disney T-Shirts. In fact they are not just Disney but USF, Islands, Busch, Sea World, you name it he has them.
He has T-Shirts which even I have never seen before when he pulls them out of the drawers. I have to stand in front of the T-Shirts at WDW just so he won't fill a whole case with them. I could go on and on. I think in total he probably has a T-Shirt for every day of the year without wearing one twice.

I've been adding to the family wardrobe with so much Disney clothing that we barely own anything without the Disney logo on it anymore. At my daughter's b-day party a couple weeks ago, my aunt made DD a Mickey vest. She told me later that night that she wasn't sure what we already owned as far as clothes because I buy everything with a character on it, so she decided to play it safe & make something totally original. :laugh

Other merchandise runs my wallet as well. My dad owns a flower shop & for a while, Disney had partnered with FTD for Disney themed floral pottery. As soon as my dad received his FTD shipments, I went "shopping" & now I have those all over the house with silk arrangements in them. My McD's 100 years figures have their own shelf over the TV, as do the beanie babies & I NEVER drink from anything other Disney glassware. The kids rooms are covered with gigantic Disney plushes (ceiling, beds, floors, shelves).

Geez, after reading all this, I think I have to curb my spending! :laugh
