Help a good cause
I need all you great DCers help! I am fundraising for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and walking in the WDW half marathon for them. I have a goal of $3600 by December 27th and I need $1200 more. I know the hoildays make it tougher for people to donate but anything any of you could do to help would mean so much to me and the Society. It is such a great cause. They help fund research, education and support for those suffering with these diseases. You can donate on http://www.active.com/donate/tntrm/tntrmEWeilan. (The website says I have only raised $100 but that is online donations only) Also if any of you have some good ideas for fundraisers I would love to hear them.
Thank you so much for your support ~Elizabeth

Re: Help a good cause
It may not be much, but if you go to the local stores in your area, you can ask them if you can put a collection jar on their counter for people to donate their change. It will add up quickly. We did something like that for a local fireman who was hurt on the job and that coin jar raised almost $1000 in a very short time. I will try and donate something on the 23rd.

Re: Help a good cause
Since it is the holiday season, some groups around here set up gift wrapping tables at the mall and take donations to wrap packages for shoppers. They seem to do a good business but you have to figure in the cost of paper, ribbon, and tape. Good luck with your cause.

Re: Help a good cause
I'm so excited! I leave for the best place on earth in 8 days! I'm even excited about getting up at 3 am to get ready to walk 13.2 miles! I love WDW!
Oh by the way I'm still a little short of my fundraising goal: hint hint:wink wink!
