What's up with that?

My DBF went to the Disney Store in Deptford to buy me Disney Dollars....they are sold out until March! Me being, being me, try anyway last night and...they are sold out until March. I have over $200 from a change jar that was suppose to be converted into DD...sheesh. They threw me off. Apparently the Echelon Mall is also sold out....it's only papaer right? How the heck do they sell out?

Yes, I could. It's kind like a tradition for me and my DD and it's a bit sad is all. We collect our change, fill the jar, cash in the money and get DD for it. Maybe they aren't printing any until they get to the 50th celebration or something strange like that?? Got me.

There is probably is an issue on the amount of money Disney can float. They need to back up all DDollars distributed. I am sure it has to do with some accounting and/or SEC format.

Does the Disney Store sell gift certificates or is it just Disney Dollars? If they sell gift certs. can you use them the same as disney dollars?

They should make it that you can buy it online or reserve them for when you get to the resort

Seriosly, they should sell them online...they sell everything else. They must look at it like sending cash in the mail or something.

I thought Disney didnt own the Disney store. That could have something to do with it. Or it could be that everybody got them for people for Christmas presents.

Oh, I know what the deal is with the Disney Dollars. They are tying them in with the release of Chicken Little and they are releasing a special edition Disney Dollars and Mickey is not on the $1 - it is Chicken Little!!! They are only doing it for a limited time too. That is why they have no Disney Dollars right now until they get the new Disney Dollars in to go with Chicken Little. I just remembered that. I will have to see if I can find the link to where I saw it on Disney so that you guys can check it out, too.

Ahh so there is a logical reason. I thoguht it odd that they were sold out until March. I can understand being sold out around the holidays though. Thanks for the answer Lawwin!
