Jeff, that sounds like a good compromise. Be careful about the heat. August is one of the hottest months there. Keep hydrated!!!

If I'm not mistaken,August is value season,so you will get a good value at the resorts.

I was just thinking that I would be OK with a trip at any time. We were there on Thanksgiving Day, and the only place that was REALLY bad was the corner of MK by BTMRR and Splash... that was pretty bad. But everywhere else was fine!
