"I want my vacation" ads
Hi all,
Not sure if this has been posted anywhere else yet. I don't know if any of you have seen any of those "I want my vacation" commercials - they have been playing up in MA for a few weeks and they basically show a guy in a suit meant to represent a corporate supervisor talking about how he appreciates the fact that his employees have given up their lives to make him more money, blah, blah, blah." And he also mentions that 26% of Americans take no vacation at all. Then at the end it just says to go to "www.Iwantmyvacation.com" I had no idea what it was for, I thought maybe it was some kind of movement against corporate America - it totally seemed like some kind of politically motivated ad (although the .com rather than .org threw me off) , I couldn't tell. Anyway I went to the site today and lo and behold, it is a new marketing campaign for UNIVERSAL ORLANDO!!! It takes you right to their website! I have to hand it to the Universal people, it is an attention getting technique. It made me laugh when I realized what it was! Sorry if someone else has already mentioned these ads! Karen

Yeah they were playing in NJ before I left and or playing down here (might have be national cable buy.) I think it is a great campaign.

They are HILARIOUS ads... hey, the exec that thought up that campaign at least deserves his huge salary! He was WAY more creative than the guy that invented the name "biggie fries" and "great biggie fries" for Wendy's!!! (Wish it was me.... )

NUH-UH.
 Those are commercials for UNIVERSAL ORLANDO?!?!?!?! OMG, I never would have guessed! They always made me snicker a little bit, and now I have to admit that they are a very creative ad campaign!

Genius. Pure genius. I guess the Universal folks finally figured they'd get more people to go to their website if they tricked them. Of course, Disney just has to say, "Disney" and folks go to THEIR website...
