Thanks to all the great advice I got on air fare on the other thread, I've checked around and found a STEAL on Independence Air $99 round trip!!!! Compared to $188 on Delta. But I don't know that much about the air lines so I was wondering if any one has ever flown with them?

They are a newly created airline based out of DC. You won't be able to get a good opinion about them, but at that price i would say SOLD!

I've never flown with them, but my neighbor works for them and says they are wonderful. It's hearsay, but that's about all the info I can give to help you out. At that price, it's worth a try at least! You'll have to let us all know how they are...

Thanks y'all! Yeah, I know they are new but I thought maybe someone knew something. It is a small jet that we would actually be flying on, 50 seater. My mom and I have never flown but everyone else has. My sister is a little apprehensive about the size of the plane but like you say for that price you can't beat it!!

Do not worry about the plane. A 50 seater plane is actually fairly large. That would be considered a Regional Jet, so not a turbo prop. I would fly on just about any plane, but the Regional Jets are very safe.
