I have an idea that I would like to run by someone at WDW to see if it could actually happen (Yeah, OK, I know... Get in line. EVERYONE at DC has one of these amazing genius ideas and we all would like it to come to life at WDW!) I am really serious about this idea, and I would really like to take a shot at seeing if it is dumb or not.
But anyway, how do you go about getting in touch with an actual person at WDW who can tell you the steps you have to take to present an idea?

Go to the WDW website and there is a contact us section. You can e-mail and there is also an address. I will go look it up for you right now.

If you really think this idea will fly(so to speak)think first of having it copyrighted so if the Disney people reject your idea and then in a couple of years it comes out as theirs you might have a lawsuit on your hands.

Good luck with your idea. I have had a few too, but never knew the proper channel for informing them. I guess it would be easier if I just had a job as an imagineer. That way I could get paid to have fun.

Lisa!!! Thanks for the addresses! I will contact Mr. Sklar. They will probably tell me it is a tired old idea that has been shelved a billion times before and will be shelved again...
But yes, I do think it will fly -- it is something that WDW is missing and REALLY needs. I will tell you all about it after I fire a call to the lawyer! This is an idea that has been brewing since last trip when I really needed this activity, and it wasn't available. Since then, I have been stewing over it and making sketches and dreaming of heading up a team of imagineers to put it together!
Jeff, if you get that job as an imagineer, will you please give me a job??? I will be a good addition to your creative team!!!

I have read many threads on other boards about this and the end resuly is ALWAYS the same. You will get a form letter telling you thanks but no thanks (I think from the legal department). Disney will not accept ideas from the public, sorry.

Yes,that's true,but I would go ahead and copyright the idea anyway,because they may say no ideas from the public,but they do see these ideas that people send them,and they might steal them and present them as their own.

This is an EXCELLENT Idea as WDW does this a lot. About 10 or so years ago when I was working in the MK they had a program called "I have an Idea" where CMs could submit ideas to the company for improvement and if they used them the CM would get a monetary perk. Too many times, I have seen ideas submitted by Cast Members only to be turned down and the idea implemented a few months later. When the IHAI folks were questioned the answer was "We had that idea on the back burner for quite some time now,it wasn't original"... but that's not what the "rejection" letter ever said.
