Ok. I know you all ordered your free vacation video this year for your trips. Is it me or is this thing a real tear jerker? I mean this in a good way. I watched it for about the 10th time the other night and it has made me tear each time. I think maybe I'm being a little too sentimental, but my last video didn't do this to me. Anyone else have this reaction or do I need to go to Disney so bad that it is actually making me weep? In the beginning of the video when they start talking about seeing it through your kids eyes and showing the flash back pictures of WDW in the 70's....well it makes me weepy..........Someone make me feel better and tell me it's happened to them. My daughter won't watch it with me now because she thinks they are tears of sadness....lol kids they do not understand us old sentimental fools...lol until they are one.

Dana - You are not alone!! I felt the same way, and actually got teary, too! I think my DH (mmouse67l) got a bit misty himself!! It makes us even more excited about our trip, we get to experience it "through the eyes of our child"!!!! After watching the video I thing DH is more excited about taking our son on the monorail than anything else! :D
Don't worry, it won't be much longer and we will both be there experiencing the magic first hand! I'm gonna keep the video handy though, you know for those nights when I just feel like watching a tear jerker!! :p

glad it's not just me....you mean the part about the faced pressed up against the monarail window...yeah that does it to me too....the biggest tear jerker is wqhen the father is talking about a little girl seeing Cinderella's castle for the first time....they flow at that point. It makes me think of the look of awe on my daughter's face when she saw it for the first time ...great memory.:love: :love:

FWIW, Disney sent us four postcards to give to friends so they can order their own videos - I thought that was really neat marketing on their part.

Me too! I'm so glad that I am not alone! Does anyone else cry during the Magic Happens commercials? My favorite is when the girl says 'he gave me a shoe'. I'm getting all teary just thinking about it!:love:

trishb - I love that one! Never thought I would want my DH to give me shoe, but after watching that... Oh well, it would probably be a sneaker anyway and that wouldn't have quite the same effect!! :p

Ok so last night I was in the Disney Store and they played that Magic Happens one with the shoe in the store and there I am in the store and I tear up.. what a freak my hubby said. joking.. and the person working asked me if I was alright and he said.. YEah she is just happy we are going to disney world next week.. Then the Lady was ok OH! well your lucky you shouldn't be sad.. and I said i'm just so happy and I like that commercial! :o I felt so stupid. silly. OH well!
