Stupid Orlando Weather
www.orlandoweather.com says that it has a 50 percent chance of rain the day I'm there.
It's just not right. |

It will rain on the drive down...it will rain while you watch Celebration of the Lion King and a Tough to be a Bug...it will rain while you catch lunch at Tusker House...and it will rain on your drive home. But other then that it will be a pretty dry day!
I wish I could go...you lucky bugger!

Look on the bright side, you'll already be wet for Kali River Rapids!
And you can buy those cool yellow Mickey ponchos! (One of my favorite Diz pins is of Mickey wearing a yellow poncho with his picture on it.)

If there is a 50% chance of rain, that means that it will only be raining on half the park at a time. Just stay out of that half till the rain moves.

Well that just stinks. It could change. I think it's the saying in Florida that if you don't like the weather, just wait ten minutes...it'll change. I hope that is the case for you on your day trip.

Just think about it....if it's raining off and on, most people might leave and the lines could be short. We went to AK on a day trip during wet weather and the place was empty. We rode Kali 2 or 3 times with out getting off. There were no lines for Dino or PW. It was the best time we ever had there.

I love Disney in the rain! :) But I hope the rain stays away for you trip, Erin. And even if it doesn't, like Dana said, it's Florida - it'll be bright and sunny and uncomfortably warm again before you can pull out your ponchos.

AK is the best park to do on a 50% chance...what if anything at AK is stopped because of rain?
Just dress/plan to be wet (quick dry clothing, extra towel in the car with a change of clothing). Erin you are going to have a great time! If it does rain just remember your old friend Tigger up in NJ freezing his tail off...

As if I would stare out the window! You know as well as I do, I'd be staring at this computer screen.
I thought you knew me better than that! Tigger - you are so funny! I thought you were still down here in 50 percent sunny Fl. :c( I wish you were! Cincy - I knew there was a trick to it! Actually - you all have given me a renewed sense of hope! I HOPE that you are all right!!!! Maybe that will mean less crowds, MORE animals (thank you Aerox!), and lots of fun! Who cares if we are a little wet! We're at DISNEY! HOpefully hubby can come so I CAN ride Kali River Rapids! |
