Re: passing time before a trip

5 months? I would get the planning video to watch. Grab a few guidbooks to read. It doens't matter how many times you have been to WDW. A good guide book will help you. I especially like the Unofficial Guide to WDW and Passporter Guide book. Both excellent books to WDW dream with. I would start mapping out what parks you want to do on which day and come up with some dining ideas. Your 90 PS window isn't that far away. Hanging out here with us is a great way to talk disney and make time pass. Hang in there 5 months will breeze by. I have to wait seven so I feel your pain.

Re: passing time before a trip

I hang out here, look at Disney related web sites, and read my planning guides. I am always thinking about my trip, planning something about it. Once I make all my PSs then I notice the time start to drag because I have nothing left to plan.

Re: passing time before a trip

I will absolutely hang out on DC with you guys. I love the people here. I have the Unofficial Guide and it is great. I would like to try the Passporter, I don't have that one yet. I have thought about a few PS's. I haven't ever been to Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier or Whispering Canyon so I'm thinking of going to those places. I think my mom is letting us have 5 days in the parks this trip, so I should start planning those now!! Thanks so much for your ideas!!

Those PS's you are thinking about are a few of my favorties...excellent choices. Do get the passporter if you can. Excellent read. Good guide book and a fun all around planner and organizer.

Long hours of sleep and anti-depressants can help with the wait.

We always do Chef Mickey's--it's so fun. Whispering Canyon Cafe was great too, we liked breakfast there better than lunch.

Re: passing time before a trip

Start yourself a countdown calendar of some sort. Be creative. A long while ago, someone wrote about a "candy countdown". Basically, with five months to go - choose five different kinds of candy. Count out the proper amount depending on the number of people in your family and the number of days in the month (ie 4 people, 30 days= 120 candies). Find a large clear jar or bowl. Put in the months' allotment of candy, divided by a pieces of cardboard or plastic. Everyday everyone has a candy. When the bowl is finished, you're on your way.

Re: passing time before a trip

Ooh...a trip to Disney World AND candy...I like the sound of that...!!

Tinydiz -- grab yourself a passporter as soon as they're in the stores (or order one online from the website). They're tons of fun (and they even have STICKERS!! which I love), and really help to pass the time because you get to write all of your plans on the corresponding days, and fill out all of the worksheets! Other things I do to pass the time: watch the disney channel on the weekends, tape the WDW specials on the travel channel and the food network and watch them over and over again, look at old pictures, plan plan plan, make/cancel/re-make Priority Seating arrangements, fall asleep thinking about all the fun things we're going to do when we get there, and, my favorite, listen to all the great WDW/Disney stations on live365.com while I'm looking at Disney websites!
