I saw a Mickey Mouse and friends figurine perpetual calendar in a newspaper ad a couple of years ago and now my wife really wants it. Does anybody know where to get it? I have seen the Plate ones on collectablestoday.com but she really wants the figurine one.
Thanks alot :) |

blaine23, I know exactly what you mean! I remember seeing advertisements in the magazine section of the Sunday newspapers. I have wracked my brain and I am not able to come up with the name of the company that offered the subscription service though. I remember taht you got the calendar and then every so often (monthly?) you received a shipment containing one of the Disney figurines representing each calendar month. Hopefully, this will jog somebody's memory . . .

Blaine23 - I think it was put out by Bradford Exchange, but I am soooo not sure. Check out CollectiblesToday.com - I didn't see it there on first glance, but they may have old stock for you to puchase.
I thought it was kind of neat that when I did an internet search on "Disney Perpetual Calendar" this post came up #4 on the search engine - wicked cool! :D :D :D

Found it!
While visiting my sister today, I was browsing through a catalog she had received and I saw the "Disney Classsic Characters Perpetual Calendar" you asked about! It is offered by The Danbury Mint. Unfortunately, I could not find a web site listed. However, they do have a toll free, 24 hours a day, telephone number: 800.305.9075.
The blurb in the catalog reads: "Beginning with the world's most recognized ears, this exclusive Danbury Mint perpetual calendar makes every day fun. Mickey and friends are up to their usual antics in 12 hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain sculptures . . . a different figurine to showcase every month of the year." Since I am not a salesperson and I know that Mickey frowns upon some advertisements, I hesitate to mention all of the prices and the terms listed, but I am sure that you can collect all of the info you need if you use the phone number above. I hope this info didn't come too late for you to take advantage of it. Let us know how you make out . . . |
