I am still a little in shock--I booked my airfare last night!!! I got what I think is an awesome fare-$168 round trip for non-stop flights. I have been watching our flights go up and kicking myself for not booking sooner when the flights were $250 R/T.

I am totally excited. We were planning on driving again and we were fine with that, the drive is long but we honestly don't mind it. Last year we left in the afternoon and drove all night, it was easy but we missed a night of sleep. No we get to add a night to the front end of our trip. I am thinking about trying All Star Movies for that first night. We don't get in until later in the evening so there is no point in booking a deluxe for that first night.

Now we have to decide how we want to get from MCO to WDW. A rental is a waste for us, we park our car and don't use it. I think I want to try Disney's Magical Express. What do you think?

Great deal ,what airlines did you use? and where is your flight leaving from? I have watched flights for months and they just keep going upppp. We are not going until Oct so maybe they will go down closer to our leaving

I am flying out of St. Louis on SWA. I got a great tip here from BDavis (thanks Heather!!) about getting a Ding account on the SWA website. It worked for me. I spent about 2 weeks watching the Ding fares before my flights came up. The flights on the Ding site were alway cheap, almost always under $100 one way. The family we are going with had already booked but re-booked last night, they saved over $500 with the Ding fare.

Then you would be at their mercy, so to speak and might have to wait until the bus is full enough to go?
Why don't you use quicksilver? You'll be saving money not staying at an expensive place that first night..

That is a great deal! We were going to drive also but, when I found airfare for $ 160.00 we jumped on it.(last year we paid around $238.00 so I thought this was a good rate).

We are using Quicksilver to get to WDW and the Magical Express on the way home to the airport. I will post and let everyone know what we thought of it.

I wondered how it would work. I wasn't sure if it would be a large bus that had to be full before leaving the airport or if it would be better than that.

I plan to book Quicksilver for my DIL's return to the airport, they are leaving before we do and I want to make sure they are well taken care of. I am just trying to save a little money. I have some time, I may wait until the ME actually starts and see how it goes. If people are waiting an hour plus then we won't use it.

I toyed with the idea of using the ME, but we are arriving early and don't want to miss a minute, so we opted for Quicksilver.
I think you are playing it right by waiting and seeing how the whole ME operation works before deciding. And in your situation, arriving later at night it may save you some money.

We are in the same boat in October and I am also considering trying the Magical Express. I can't wait to hear everyone's reviews. We also love Quicksilver so it is a tough choice.

I thought I saw someone post a while back that Mears was going to do the ME. They may have been joking because it was a thread where everyone was giving Mears horror stories. Anyone know for sure?

I think thats a GREAT deal from St.Luois(sry if i butchered the spelling). I pay just as much and I am here in the NE, no more than 850 miles from WDW.

I would go with the Magical Express, hey its worth a shot, and with Southwest they are going to take your bags from the airport ticket counter all the way to your room, you really just cannot beat that.
