Listen To The Fabulous Sounds of Illuminations

This post was buried in another thread where a lot of DCers who would probably enjoy the music might never see it. For that reason I've given it a thread of its own.

The Illuminations fireworks show that closes Epcot every night is perhaps my all-time favorite experience at WDW. Not only do I love the fireworks, but the sounds and music that accompany it are so uplifting that I still get chills when I listen to it. Other people probably feel the same way. At any rate, I've posted links to the Illuminations introduction and the Illuminations finale for others to enjoy.

The chant from the old Tapestry of Nations parade that serves as the exit music for Epcot after the conclusion of Illuminations is also one of my favorites. Even though I've seen Illuminations dozens of times, I still get an extra bounce in my step listening to this music as DW and I are carried along with the crowd to the exit.

Depending on your computer's configuration, when you click on the links your computer may open a file download box. Choose "open this file from its current location" and your computer's default .mp3 music player will open and play the selection. If you close your eyes and sprinkle a little Pixie Dust, you'll think you're at Epcot.

The Tapestry of Nations song as posted here is presented in its entirety and is a fairly long download. It takes about two minutes of playing before it gets to the part that we're all familiar with. Please be patient, and enjoy!!

Thanks, PH! I cry everytime I hear that (Illuminations) -- it's truly excellent music. I'm a "band" and "orchestra geek" from way back, and I always think how much fun playing that music (or even conducting it) would be.

It's great that you can listen to that. My husband has the same reactions when he's standing in line to Space Mountain. He loves the sounds/music it plays while in line. Does anyone know if that is available anywhere?

That's really great that you posted this link - no matter how many times I try to stay awake, I never seem to make it all the way to Illuminations at the end of a long day of driving to WDW and then park hopping like crazy. Now you've saved me the trouble
