I was finally able to work on all of my WDW trip photos during spring break. My ds went to NC to visit w/grandma and papa. I just left everything out on my kitchen table for the week and a half, and every evening after work, I worked on it. I'm only about half way done, but it is a start!! I was so proud of myself that I actually was able to at least get started on the Disney scrapbooking pages!!! It helped me get in the Diseny mood for our upcoming trip!!

I love to scrapbook

I went to WDW for Christmas this past year. I came home and decided to make a scrapbook with all my photos. I really got carried away and ended up with an entire scrapbook of JUST the parade on Christmas Day. Now I have a hug craft bag full of scrapbook stuff. Yesterday I told the lady at our local scrapbook store that I probably spend more money on scrapbook stuff then I do on food! When I go back in June I am going to snatch up as many scrapbook supplies as I can afford! :) :) :)

I went to mousememories and started ordering stuff...I had about 75.00 worth of products though, so I stopped myself and I'm going to see what I absolutely have to have. That isn't even an album or high priced things.

Do any of you have Disney Albums? I can't find one, so I thought I would just buy a red one. Do you all think a Big Red Album would be ok for our Disney Trip? Or should I try to find a specific "Disney" album?

Goofette - for both of ours last year, I got some Disney fabric (Mickey on blue check) cut it a bit larger than the album, used a spray adhesive, and wrapped it around the outside of the album. Took some card stock and lined the inside. Then made a title block for the cover, with our vacation info on it. It was really easy to do - I can try to find more specific directions if you want it.

Then only album I really really want is the Tinkerbelle one that was in the stores last winter. I should have picked it up, but didn't.

Angie, I don't do beds, I'm a LOUSY cook, and there's a permanent layer of dust on all my Disney knicknacks... Creativity and orderliness do NOT go hand in hand in my house... Believe me, I'm less than perfect.

That sounds good...Did you have just a solid colored album? And if so, what color? If you find the directions, can you send me a pm? Actually, I may need to give you my e-mail address because I always run out of room on the pm's. Unfortunately, I'm not creative (nor do I cook and clean well ;) :p ) but I Do like trying to be creative! :D I think that sounds like neat idea. I was telling my sister to hold a red album, what do you think about that color?

Thanks!!!
Paula :)

Scrapbook covering directions

Clicking on the link above, and scrolling to the bottom of the page will give you step by step directions. The only thing I do differently is to spray the back of the fabric and cover of the scrapbook with a fabric adhesive before laying it down on the fabric. I cut the fabric to size, first, since it gums up my scissors. I didn't care for the 'tape bumps.'

Yes, I used a solid color binder - it was white, but it did have a very thin gold border around the edging. I think it's a fairly common one at Walmart - three ring type, 8.5x11. It was from the scrapbook section, not a standard binder (as those don't fit the page inserts as well when closed)

I LOVE the idea of a red binder for a scrapbook album. If she wants, she can easily add stickers or braid or jewels or ticket stubs to the cover.

Have you tried the post-bound books yet? I mean the ones with the staple looking things that you thread the strap through (I forget the name...) I just started our Christmas one and am getting frustrated that I can just "snap a page in" when I'm done iwth it. Arrrrghghhh! I think it looks nicer, just would like it to be a tad bit labor intensive.

And that's all creativity is - the urge to ditch the dishes and TRY!!! :D

Monorailgoof - I'm willing to cook up an avatar for you, but with such a hugely broad request, I usually ask for the URL of an image you like. You can also do a search on the word Avatar on this forum and come up with a couple of threads with posted avatars in them, or links to other avatar sites.

MickeyMac, thanks for posting that information! I'm going to try that. I don't have an album yet for my Disney pages I have done. I'll just have to see if I can do this! Thanks again!

My DW and I do scrapbooking together. We started about 1 year ago when our church offered a class. She drug me along because I am the creative one, and I give her ideas and she puts them together. All of the other husbands gave me a hard time about going to the workshop, but I was the only man with 20 women. LOL...My DW has even gotten out 2 DSs, 6 & 3, to help with stickers and such. Just got back from a short vacation in Pigeon Forge, TN and she found a huge scrapbooking store. I am glad it was a short trip or we could not have afford it once she got loose in that store. I told her there was a store in DTD, and now she is planning on going there. :dazed
