I was at the World of Disney in NYC today and they've got Happiest Celebration merchandise from both WDW and Disneyland there (Disneywife -- I saw all the stuff you bought last week!!!). They even have the golden ears and the special edition Pal Mickey! The only thing I couldn't find/buy were the special edition Annual Passholder pins which only come out in the parks, I think.

So I bought our new Pal Mickey so that we have him on our way down there!! Hooray!!

That is so cool. I wish I could get it, however, we have the old Pal Mickey so I am pretty sure we won't be getting the new one. We like it but not enough to buy it all over again when we have one that works.

We usually don't buy too many souvenirs in the parks (I know, I know... we're crazy), so we decided to go ahead and splurge on the new Pal. We have more fun with him that we would with a couple of new t-shirts! :)

That's very true, I hadn't thought about it that way. My DFIL bought me my Pal Mickey a couple of years ago as a thank you for planning our whole trip. I can't replace it yet, I don't want to hurt his feelings.

How sweet of your FIL!!! What a great fam!!

I'll let you know what "new tricks" the special edition has in the parks. I'm guessing it won't be worth it to replace your Pal, but if there's an overwhelming reason to get the new guy I'll be sure to let you know! :)

This is great. I have been wanting to go and check out the store since they re-did it now Im going to have to go soon. Im curious what else they had there besides the New Pal Mickey ( which I have to go and get) and the ears of coarse. I was wondering if they had any like t-shirts or jackets etc?

They do indeed have Happiest Celebration t-shirts (not sure about jackets because I wasn't explicitly looking for them, but it wouldn't surprise me) for both kids and adults. They also have stationery, commemorative items, scrapbooking supplies, notepads, etc., etc., etc. A lot of the HCOE park merchandise I've seen popping up on the laughingplace.com store was at the WOD in Manhattan. Lots of great stuff and definitely worth a look... .
