Favorite Disney Secrets
Hey guys..I am sure theres ten other threads like this..but I'd love to know everyone's favorite disney secrets. I have heard about a few...the ring in front of haunted mansion and holding the trigger down on Buzz the entire ride will get you a high score......and my personal favorite (and the only one DBF and I actually did) was finding the paintbrush on Tom Sawyer Island and getting a free fastpass for Splash Mountain. So what is everyone's fav. disney secret....I'd love to know!!
Also...does anyone have any idea what the "key under the mat at muppet vision" is?

Re: Favorite Disney Secrets
lol the key under the mat... when you're about to go into the Muppet 3D building, there's a sign that says "out to lunch" or something, and "key under mat". And if you pick up the mat, there really is a key there! :)
My favorite secret is about the Cinderella fountain by the Tinkerbell store. If you curtsey to her the crown on the wall behind her looks like it's on her head. Kinda dumb, but I always think it's cute. ![]()

Re: Favorite Disney Secrets
I want to know about the ring in front of the Haunted Mansion! Haven't heard about that one yet. I think my favorite isn't really a secret, but there's not a lot of people who take the time to do it. In the statuary in Epcot, when the "statues" are actually out there. Those people are PHENOMENAL.

Jason, as you exit the Haunted Mansion, stop right as the green canopy ends and look down. It is very tiny and it's not shiny anymore, but you can see the bride's engagement ring embedded into the ground. It's so small it could be a child's ring.

Re: Favorite Disney Secrets
Thanks, EJ! I'll have to take a look this trip. I guess I've never paid a lick of attention.

Re: Favorite Disney Secrets
all of these tricks are just part of the fun of going to WDW. I have been going to WDW since I was 4 and did not know about the ring until recently. That is what is so fun- never the same thing twice!!!!!It makes you really appreciate other people's creativity...(especially those of us who have none)...

Re: Favorite Disney Secrets
Cinderbella, where exactly did you find the paint brush? More in the bushes or along the paths? One of my sons and I were looking for the paint brushes and never did see any, but I also have to say that we were sidetracked a lot of the time.
My favorite secret is....hmmm, I cannot think of one. Sorry ![]()

Re: Favorite Disney Secrets
Is it only found once a day? Or do they put it back out after it's been turned in?
Just curious. I don't want to go out there and spend hours looking for it, if it's a one-shot deal. Also, here's another really cool secret that I've never actually gotten to do. I'm not a huge fan of the Norway ride. Kind of a snore, personally, but hey, I know loads of people who love it. Anyway, I've been told by many that the first person on that ride each day gets a free viking hat!

Re: Favorite Disney Secrets
Our favorite EC secret is that the potted plants at the Italy pavilion will squirt unsuspecting passersby! Get too close to smell the roses, and a little blast of water can squirt you in the eye!

Re: Favorite Disney Secrets
I'm learning alot! I never knew about the paintbrush on Tom Sawyer Island, what's the story behind that? Also, I'll try to see Cinderella with her crown and the key under the mat at MV3D! lol
My favorite WDW secrets all have to do with the Haunted Mansion. I learned them all while on the Keys to the Kingdom tour. At the end of the graveyard scene just as you pass the singing heads to your right is a black ghost figure holding a lantern I believe, if you look at the shadow of his sleeves, they make a hidden mickey! Also once you exit the ride and get to the end of the moving walkway the wall at the end appears to be brick (or cement or whatever, lol) but if you touch it, you'll realize it's padding to prevent people from getting hurt if they run into it as they step off the path. I know, niether of them aren't that great but they were neat enough for our tour guide to point out! lol. I know I've got more...think, think, think Joe ![]()
