We are staying for nine nights.
This is a strange trip for us, and it almost didn't happen. My Dad has been ill, but he decided this past weekend that he still wants to take this trip. (we almost cancelled because we weren't going to go without him.) We always drive to WDW together, but this year, my Dad just wasn't up to riding 20 hours in the car each direction. My wonderful boss offered to pay for their flight to WDW so that they could still go. But my mom has vertigo and she didn't want to fly for fear she would be dizzy all week, so I offered to fly with my Dad. (any of you that really know me know that I am desparetly afraid of flying....so I am very anxious about this flight tomorrow morning). Anyway, hubby and my mom and the kids drove out this morning and they made it to Mobile tonight. My sister and her family (DC Name "a goofy family") left this afternoon. My brother in laws brother and my sister's friends families left this afternoon, also. My brother in laws parents will fly out in the morning. And my Aunt and Uncle will be flying in on Sunday from Illinois. Grand Total going on this trip is 24. We decided to give my parents our room at Old Key West for the week. Back when we booked this trip (11 months ago!) He was well and we had booked their stay between OKW and Vero Beach. Since he's gotten sick, we all decided that it would be better if he stayed in one place the entire trip so that he isn't lugging bags and moving in and out of rooms every few days. We are also having one of those comfy adjustable recliners delivered to the room tomorrow because he has a hard time sleeping in a bed all night. (One week for $125 - no too bad). What I most want to do is sit on a bench on Main Street, with my whole family, and watch Wishes together. I also cannot wait to stay at Saratoga Springs, it looks so pretty! I'll give you all the details upon my return!

24 of you?? Will you tour as a group, or split up, and meet at certain times? I can't imagine keeping track of everyone.
I'm so glad your dad gets to join you. What a neat trip. I hope it brings you memories that last forever!!!!

Most of us won't tour together. My sister and her family and my family will tour together a lot, but usually not all the time. We have several meals where we will all get together and maybe see the fireworks together.
Mom and Dad will probably meet up with us on a few of the evenings (when it's cooler) for dinner and a few shows or rides and the parade or fireworks.

Wow, 24 people! That will be so much fun to have you family together like that. I think it would be great to have my family together at WDW...as long as we had plenty of space.
