Does my wife know me, or what?
I put my wife on a plane this morning at Orlando International Airport for a weeklong trip to see relatives in Virginia. As we were saying our goodbyes in the terminal before she went through security, she smiled wryly and said, "I'm assuming nothing will get done around the house because I know where you'll be every day while I'm gone?"
"Good assumption," I replied. "But what better place for a bachelor-for-a-week to stay out of trouble." How could she dispute that? She couldn't, of course (what a great woman), so I'm now headed out the door for the first of several days of leisurely park hopping. Visiting the parks by yourself takes a little getting used to, but it's actually very relaxing strolling around and people-watching. Today, I'm off in search of Lucky and whatever else suits my fancy at Animal Kingdom. Then it'll be over to Epcot for dinner somewhere (Biergarten, maybe?) followed by BJ Thomas and the Flower Power concert and probably Illuminations. Tomorrow I think it'll be MGM and the second Star Wars Weekend early in the day and then Epcot and Soarin' in the afternoon -- and maybe a Flower & Garden Festival guest lecture. And tomorrow night the Flower Power concert entertainment is Eric Burdon & The Animals. Saturday . . . well, who can plan that far in advance? I'm off . . .

Wow, sounds like a plan. I always thought it would be nice to stroll around the parks solo without having to worry about schedules and such. Have fun!
