Dana should write a Disney guidebook

Dana:

With all the stuff you've written here and taking into consideration your recent experience with a book that was incorrect....

You should write your OWN book!!!

I'm sure you could find plenty of volunteers to proofread it for you right here!

Re: Dana should write a Disney guidebook

Of course, some complimentary issues for your close friends would be nice.

I seriously think this is an endeavor to pursue. Give it some serious thought. Get a basic format to start and go with it. Get input with polls and threads from us or do most of it yourself. Either way, it is a great idea. You could even call it "The accurate Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".

Re: Dana should write a Disney guidebook

Thanks Matt for the nice words. I wouldn't even know where to begin. That other book was just terrible...anyone could have picked those mistakes out. I think you would do a better job of it, so you should write one.

Begin at the Beginning. Then continue until you end it at the ending.

I could not imagine anyone more qualified than you. You could do a "Disney World Commando" book if you are more comfortable with it. That's another great niche barely tapped into... Disney at Warp 9!

Hmmmmm...

Dana, you could publish a book AND a related web-site that people could sign up to access for $5/year.

Jenny and ParkHopper could be your roving reporters!

Ahhhh.. the possibilities!

I think you should go for it! I'm always amazed about how much Caver knows about Disney. So many from DC could help out.

Re: Dana should write a Disney guidebook

Dana, I agree with everyone else. You should do something with all of the knowledge you have of WDW. The website idea is pretty cool. Just imagine all the people you would help! Of course if you did the book, then I would be willing to help proofread too!

Re: Dana should write a Disney guidebook

Okay, I LOVE the hottie, we call "Dana." She knows that. You all know that. I don't think most of us, including Dana, are in a position to write a guide book. NOT because she's not capable, but because she would need to be at WDW constantly. She'd need to know the ends and outs of every resort, every restaurant (including 3 meals a day), every trick and touring tip.

It would be a full time job, with constant trips to WDW. Hard to do from New Jersey. A few of our Florida group (Jenny, Mickaholic, Darth, and etc.), would be in a much better position to do it. BUT I will add that I would fully support Dana's move to Florida to start this venture.

Or we could all collaborate for the "Disney Central Guide to WDW," with Dana coordinating our efforts and each of us carrying out a research assignment! I'll help with editting! We split royalties among the contributors.

Re: Dana should write a Disney guidebook

Ok, Ok....I will make the sacrifice and move to Florida so I can go to WDW all the time and contribute stories. It will be a hard move to make, but someone has to do it! LOL

Re: Dana should write a Disney guidebook

I am jumping on the bandwagon and supporting a DC guide book. I will work with the marketing portion of the venture. And I gladly volunteer myself to move to Florida and spend my days investigating Disney. That would be the ideal job. Now I just need to go convince DH.... :

Re: Dana should write a Disney guidebook

That's the spirit guys! Way to sacrafice for the team.

Given my camp schedule, I'll be prepared to spend the entire months of December & January. I'll need an advance on my share of the royalties. Dana, can you set me up with an expense account? I'm volunteering to do the leg work on the suites at Grand Floridian, Board Walk, Poly, Contemp, WL, AKL, & etc. I figure a week's stay at each should be suffecient for this first trip. I can also do a restaurant review of Victoria & Alberts.
