Anyone travel to NYC???

I have to tell everyone here that if you travel on business to New York City, or better yet you travel to The Big Apple on vacation!, you MUST go to the World of Disney on Fifth Avenue at 55th Street! The building is themed on the outside -- you can see it from way up the street! And when you walk in the doors, it SMELLS like the shops on Main Street! And it LOOKS like the WoD at Marketplace! And they sell TONS of WDW park items that you cannot buy at a regular Disney Store!
They even sell pins, park coffee and every kind of WDW candy you can imagine!
The CMs trade pins with the kids, who are running around in various costumes, just like at WDW, and the have a big library of books you can buy upstairs. There is even some sort of Pincess School where your DD and her friends can become costumed princesses for a party!
This place is great, and it takes away a lot of the wow-I-have-a-long-wait-to-get-back-to-the-parks blues!

That store sounds so cool. It's just a bit to far for me to visit. I ma glad you got a WDW fix my going.

We may be taking a day trip to NYC at the end of July and this is one of the places on the top of my "to do" list. I have also heard it is about as close to Disney as you get without actually going there. And man do I need a good Disney fix right now!

We live in NJ about 15 miles from NYC. I often tempt my DW about going, even though I hate the city. If it weren't for our upcoming WDW trip, I am sure we would have to visit.

We just went there yesterday! We had a horrible day in NYC, but as soon as we entered the WOD doors we all immediately felt better! We saw many items that were offered at the parks and they had some really cool NYC WDW merchandise.(But very, very expensive!)

WOD has nice red rain ponchos for $5.00. Since you live so close it might make the trip worthwhile just to get the ponchos! They have a mickey on the back and say NYC.

I just talked to DH and on the kid's last day of school, next Thursday, we are getting on the train after lunch and heading into the World of Disney. I'm so excited, it's going to be a great surprise for them.
