What WDW things would you like to have on video?
I am going to set aside one day of our trip entirely for digital pictures & video...where I'll take the camera and spend the day taking pictures of resorts & theme parks (for my future Disney photo website), as well as make a video to watch when I have PDD.
I plan on videotaping random things...performers, parts of attractions, parades, shots of Main Street & all the hustle and bustle...etc. I just want a collage of things on video that I can pop in the next time I'm feeling depressed. What kind of magical WDW things would YOU want on video? I need all the ideas I can get.

I'd like to tape entering Town Square then walking down Main St. with that Dixieland Jazz music in the background, just concentrating on the little things. Like the windows in the emporium..the glass blower at work, the flowers and different topiaries, the differnt types of architecture, etc.

Re: What WDW things would you like to have on video?
In the last several trips to WDW, my DW and I have always taken video and 35mm pictures. Recently, we looked at the video of our last trip, and I was very disappointed. When I video, I think I do too much. For instance, I'll take video of my kids getting autographs from the characters, then next few shot is a pan of the Main Street architecture and shops, then maybe some bouncing video of me walking up Main Street with the Castle coming closer into view. It all looks too jerky and unrelated.
What I would like to do is brush up on some video taping skills and mainly use video for action sequences while I am stationary. No more taking video while I am walking. I hate to say it but some of my shots look no better than the widely known video of the collapse of the World Trade Center tower while the person was running away. What I find is most enjoyable after the trip is to see the reaction of my kids to various events. This should be a priority for using video, with shows and parades coming in a close second. I have the tendency to want to capture everyting I see, including the rides, but I am still not sure if it is worth taping some of the dark rides due to quality issues and overall decrease in ride enjoyment. Now that we have a digital camera and a laptop for mega photo storage, I think it is best to only take photos of the stationary objects like the castle, shops, architecture, attraction fronts, and character poses. The video always seems to quick on pan shots of Mains Street for example, when what really want to do is study and absorb the image to remember what it was like. So, my wishlist includes: Video - More video of action scenes, shows, select attractions, and of course my 2DDs Photos - Since we will be going digital and using 35mm, take pictures of everything!!, especially poses with the kids/family in front of attractions, architecture shots, character poses, some shows, and off the beaten path shots (like Mallard ducks on the grass eating with the castle in the background). If anyone has any good infor or sites for tips on taking good video, please post, I can need some new ideas to try to bring with me to WDW next time. PiratesFan ![]()

Re: What WDW things would you like to have on video?
I would want little clips of video from all of the countries in World Showcase. Just to get a glimpse of what they have to offer.
Also, I would videotape the outsides of all of my favorite rides, so that I could imagine that I was riding on them.
