Have you been to the WDW outlet store?
I was reading on www.Mousesavers.com that one way to save money is to visit the WDW Disney Outlet Store in Orlando. Has anyone been to this? Do they sell the same merchandise that did not sell in the park? Or is it a Disney Store Outlet store that sells the same stuff as in the catalog?
Any information would be appreciated. There is just something special about merchandise "made exclusively for the Disney Theme Parks".:) Thanks, Y'all!

I'm having to edit this because I realized that you said "Disney Outlet" and not "Disney Catalog Outlet".....Sorry .....I guess I'll go ahead and leave up the information though for anyone who is interested in the "Disney Catalog Outlet".
I just started working at the Disney Catalog Outlet. We get items from the catalog and as soon as it hits the stores it's 25% off. But they have terrific buys usually on top of that. We have one rack that has some really nice things for 75% off! All of our Halloween costumes are 50% off of the already marked down 25%. I am having a really hard time trying to save my paycheck LOL. There are only about 5-6 outlet stores in the U.S. I need to learn where they are also (i'll be sure to ask in the morning when I go in). I work at the Missouri one. I also know that since I've been working there we get a lot of different specials from week to week and it's exciting to see the knew products that come into the store. The products change and a lot of times things are sold out pretty quickly. We had the Mickey bedding all for 50% off. It was the white sheets with the small mickeys in blue or pink. Anyway....sorry to go on and on. But I really love this store. I love working there and I love the great buys I've been able to find myself! You should definately give it a try if you have on in your area, or will be close to one. Sorry Mickey if this sounded like an advertisement :o I just love my job and think it's a great store! :)

I found the listing and numbers of the Disney Catalog Outlets. Here they are for anyone interested:
Alabama -- Riviera Centre Factory Stores, Foley (334)943-3988 Delaware -- Rehoboth Beach Outlet Center, Rehoboth Beach (302) 226-4620 Florida -- Belz Factory Outlet Mall,. Orlando "Character Premier -- Mall 1 (407) 354-0193 "Character Warehouse" -- Mall 2 "Sawgrass Mill Mall, Sunrise" Missouri -- Tanger Factory Outlet Center, Branson (417) 335-5307 South Carolina -- Disney Catalog Outlet, Jonesville (864) 674-2031 --- Hilton Head Factory Store II, Hilton Head (843) 837-9999 Tennessee -- Tanger Center Five Oaks, Sevierville (865) 774-0888 Texas -- Tanger Factory Outlet Center, San Marcos (512) 392-8880 Virginia -- Potomac Mills, Woodbridge (703) 490-3390 Hope this helps. I was a little confused on the Florida listing, but I pulled it off of the internet, so maybe that phone number will help. As you all can see, there aren't many in the U.S. If you are ever in the area of one of them I would check it out. Never know what kind of buys they'll have. :)

Hi all!! I think I went to this outlet store in Orlando...it was in a mall really close to our hotel (Sheraton Vistana...going again in December!!). I do remember that they had items that also existed in the parks. However, since it was last June that I went, I don't remember the how great the deals were. I do believe we got some picture frames that were really cheap...and they take Disney Dollars, so I was set. It's almost a good place to hit on the way back to the airport in case you have any of the extra DD or you just didn't get enough souveniers.

i live by the one at sawgrass mills mall in south florida I love going there especially since the Disney store in the mall near me doesnt carry any clothes for adults near me I got a sweatshirt jacket there for $15.99 that originally was 40 dollars granted it was last years sweatshirt that was sold in the park but i didnt care and alot of times they have things in there that i said i will get it next time but never do and then i get them at a discount. You do have to watch prices though some stuff is not marked down and is selling for regular price

i live near the sawgrass mills outlet store, the same one tiggerlover was talking about. I just loove the outlet store! Its good to know that If i missed that really cool souvenir on my last wdw trip, i could just stop by the outlet store a few months later and get it for practically 50 percent off! Infact I was just there last weekend with my mom when I went to buy tickets to see "disney on ice" at the ticketmaster. I saw shirts from tokyo disneyland, and DCA. They also have alot of glass items from different parks, they were only $2.99!! I was soo close to buying a photo album from the animal kingdom lodge, it was so cheap I couldnt resist! But since I never have stayed at the AKL, it was kinda pointless, lol:p .The only thing that was'nt marked down were the cd's. Its such a great store. It makes me feel like Im in the world of disney store at DD.
Joe:)
