we will be arriving at DW on Dec.18 and will leave x-mas night. At other times we have been there for the holidays I always make sure to take our x-mas stockings to hang. Santa always seems to find them and fill them with Disney souviners.(except one year he left tickets to go to that "other" theme park. Would love to take a small tree, but just don't want to take up the suitcase room.

How about pins on the stockings?
I just found big snowman confetti at the dollar store-I thought I would put it on the ground outside the room (I don't know if it will blow away or not, but it is worth a dollar to try!) We are flying in on the 19th, and leaving Christmas afternoon. Anybody else using the xmas mousekeeping envelopes? I just remember last time I was there at Christmas, we were at OKW, and saw some people with the lights outside the rooms. It really added a festive atmosphere. We had ordered a tree from the Disney florist, but the resort had no idea on how to get it home! I see now that return shipping is included in the price. Also, the tree was not in the room when we checked in, and when the person ran it to the room, instead of setting it up as a surprise for the kids, they stuck it in the corner on the floor. That is why I now do the decorating myself. It is cheaper that way too! ![]() |

The pin idea sounds great! Just don't know if we want to "collect" anything else! We used to buy the pins when our son was younger(now 17) and he already has quite a collection of them. Of course that was before Disney started to really "market" them.( they were really cheap then)The stamped coins too! He could get something at every place he went and we didn't have to spend alot! Maybe I could just take all his old ones and he'll never know!ha

LOL WDW, too wicked funny (your son not noticing)
I've got my bags packed - we leave in the morning. We wrapped the garland snuggly around the tree - it fits nicely into my daughter's suitcase, along with the three strands of lights, candle for the window, and little nativity (my daughter's play thing). I love the idea of the snowman confetti, but couldnt' find anything like it. I'm thinking of bringing glitter instead. I know it gets vaccuumed up, but maybe it will look enough like pixie dust to put a smile on someone's face. Yes, I am bringing holiday mousekeeping envelopes. I made a few different ones.
