I have to tell Mickey thank you.
Just wanted to thank Mickey for his help today. I had booked flights on SW 6 weeks ago and today a "ding" fare came up for half the price. In a matter of minutes, Mickey double checked that I could add a night to our trip (we had booked with the AP best rate), and then I had to change the flights. Easier said than done, at least for me, it only took 20 mins. and two phone calls to SW for help. All the time I'm thinking, what if they run out of seats, what if disney gets booked !!!!!!!!!!!
 So I got the seats, Mickey got the extra night and I'm doing a happy dance.  So THANK YOU MICKEY AND MOUSEKETRIPS. |

You would be surprised the number of times that happens, that the room is available, and you check back 2 minutes later, and it is gone. Always seems to be the Wilderness Lodge though for some reason. Glad you were able to save some money.

I've always wondered if SW would let you change to a new fare. Did they charge you to change or did you have to book again and take a credit for your old seats? How does it work?

When we flew this summer our friends rebooked with SWA at no charge and got a credit for the difference in ticket price.

I acually was a little scared that by the time I did the computer work (I'm soooo slow), the seats would be gone. But it worked out. So I started at 650 and I now have a credit of about 325. No charge in any of the changes, it does warn it fare increases could happen, but you just have to make sure you are doing your math right. The only downside is you have to use the credit within one year of first booking So I told my DH we HAVE to make a second trip cause SW only flies from philly to disney, no where else. Jo Jo- I did the same thing, isn't Ding great! I was so nervous that I would lose both flights, but it all worked out.
