Got my 2006 Unofficial Guide today

It is finally here. After many delays. I got my 2006 Unofficial Guide today from Amazon.com I have already skimmed through the first half looking for any extra hints to help me get breakfast at CRT on the day that I want. I already have a breakfast reservation, but it is not on the day that I want, so I am still hoping and trying for my date. Crazy I know, but I just want everything to be perfect. Has anyone else gotten their copy yet?

There is not much difference actually. I gave my 2005 copy to my Dsister to plan our upcoming trip. The main difference is there is something in there about the new MYW tickets and about Expedition Everest. It was nice to be able to read it though to help pass the time until December.

I got mine last week from Barnes and Noble! Seemed very similar to the one I read last year (library copy), not many changes. The biggest difference was the blue print- the 2005 I read was black and white.

Yes, I (finally) picked up a copy at Borders. Since I didn't have last year's, this edition looks great to me becaus eit has lots of "new" info (such as the rides that have opened in recent months.)

I have been browsing through it every night. It feeds my excitement about my upcoming trip.

the only travel giude i have ever bought is the Brindbaums one before i joined DC because i liked the pictures...
i really want a unoffical guide though (even though they predicted badly for my trip...teehee...) i stilll xoxoxoxoxo the unoffical guide

I popped into Borders on my way home from work and it was finally on the shelf (I've been checking for ages)! I was so excited! It was really nice to read an informed write-up on Saratoga Springs, as well... .

ok I went to barnes and noble today to get my 2006 unofficial. I managed to look like a complete moron in the process. I go to the travel section where I always go immediately upon entering the store. No unoffical.....what? I go up to the counter and ask the lady when they expect the next shipment. She looked at me like I was nuts. I go on to say this is my third trip here to get the book. She is still looking at me like a dog that heard a weird noise with her head cocked to one side....kinda like "duh!" She says " are you sure there isn't any over there?" I say " I know where you keep them and they aren't there." She takes me by my hand like I am 5 and guides me to the same travel section where there is a tall display of the book.....OMG..talk about blonde moment. I apologized over and over and over....she giggled and said "we all have days like this" SO, I am reading away. I was very shocked to see that the comtemporary made it to the number one slot for rooms....the new ones must be awesome! I love the new character story in the beginning too....this is one of my favorite parts of the book....the humor.

Okay! Okay! Okay! Has the Guide gone over the top?

On page 347, they are talking about Pal Mickey here is the quote:

"Occassionally he shares something personal like, 'I could totally get baked on a good joint right about now. Are you holding?'"

WHAT!

I can only assume this is meant to be a joke, and I'm laughing hysterically, but a Disney guidebook talking about drugs!?!?!?!?

They used that last book too and I almost peed in my pants when I read it. It's not a guide book for kids, so I think it's ok humor. I love the intro...they are always the funniest stories. This year they mentioned someone eating mushrooms and hitting on hades...lolol
