Appropiate costumes

Ok for all of you that have been MNSSHP in the past I need some issues resolved.
Will we be gawked at if we where costumes that are not disney. Say Wizard of OZ or Scooby Doo.
We were going to go as Peter Pan and such, but so is everyone else. What to do.
Are there all different types of costumes there?
Or should I go with Prince Charming and two princesses.

Re: Appropiate costumes

I have heard of many people going as nondisney things to the halloween party. The only costumes that are considered inappropriate are the ones that are over the top scary, ones that have a fake weapon and overly sexy ones. You will be fine.

Re: Appropiate costumes

Non-disney things are definitely appropriate. I even saw some Warner Brothers characters. lol.. There are definitely all kinds of costumes. Disney, non-Disney, general things (like surgeons and pirates), people not in costume at all... Whatever you choose will be fine. :)

Yes, these things are all allowed as far as non-disney costumes.
and I would like to add another to the DO NOT list and that is no costumes which cover your face, that is for the CM"s only, I believe.

I think Iam going for the Jasmine costume (looks comfortable and the price was reduced on Disney Direct) and my DD wants to be MULAN.

Re: Appropiate costumes

Years ago when we went there was a family that had the mom as the toothpaste, dad was a toothbrush, and the daughter was a thing of floss. They were some of the most inventive and unique costumes I have ever seen! Go with whatever you want....it's great fun to see all different costumes!

Why yes you did...lol I don't know about them though. I think they fall under the "not to wear" list by disney standards. I can see the mom's covering little ones eyes and slapping their husbands...lol wow I'm feeling cocky today.

That's the other one....no covered faces. I the Jasmine one. I wish I had the confidence to wear that one. The mulan one is also very cute. You guys are going to look great!
