Ugh, we can't decide!!! HELP!

OK! Here is the dilemma. I am saving like a maniac so that the end of this coming June I will be able to buy into the DVC cash b/c I REALLY would feel guilty if I fianced something like that. I HOPE we can save some money going the re-sale route.
So here is the dilemma.
It looks like the end of June is the only time we'll be able to go on a week's vacation for next year. We want to go to DL for the 50th, since we already went to WDW last month.
SO, should I sacrifice that DL vacation and put the money towards the DVC so it would take less of my paycheck every month & I'll know I'll be able to use the points later that year sometime. OR, go to DL b/c I don't know the next time we'll be able to get there and I'll miss the 50th if we don't.

This is hard decision. I am afraid if we skip DL is June and buy into the DVC we might have the deal where the points won't be available right away then we'll have to wait a long time to go on vacation, and once school starts for me in Sept. it's usually awhile before I can get away.

I say go to DL in June - I think the 50th Anniversary there is a once in a lifetime event (Especially for DisneyAholics like us!) You can still buy into the DVC for the following year - that gives you a little longer to save and you didn't miss anything in DL! JMO

You're right, that is a really tough decision!

I would have to encourage you to go to DL. I think I would rather have a "for-sure" vacation to look forward to rather than stressing about being able to buy in/get points/schedule a trip, etc.

If you really think it would be a while before you got to go to DL again, I would definitely go in June. I wouldn't want to miss the 50th either if I were you!

I want to join DVC too, and thinks it's AWESOME that you have been working so hard to save up!

But alicefan had a really good point. Even if you DIDN'T go to Disneyland, you'd still have to wait a little while to buy into DVC...so hopefully taking that trip would only make a few months' difference in your DVC plans.

We were the day of the 50th (7/17). Nothing Disney could ever top that that.
